This Pro Value Series concealed hinge opens to 155 degrees, bringing full overlay doors nearly flat with the cabinet side. It self-closes, mounts via dowel, and works on both face-frame and frameless cabinets.
Most cabinet hinges open to 110 degrees, which handles everyday access without issue. The 155 degree opening becomes the right call when a door sits beside a wall, a refrigerator, a tall appliance, or a run of cabinets that wraps a corner. At 155 degrees the door swings far enough to get out of the way entirely, which matters in a tight galley kitchen, a closet with limited clearance, or a cabinet flanked by fixed objects on both sides. The straight arm geometry carries the door at a full overlay position, so the reveal stays narrow and consistent across a run even when the door is opening wide. The 35mm cup bores into the door back, the arm connects to a base plate on the cabinet ordered separately, and the self-close spring handles the return without needing a push to the last inch.
The dowel mount is the distinguishing installation detail here. Instead of cup screws, pre-mounted dowels on the cup press into bored holes in the door, which suits CNC-machined door blanks where the dowel holes are already in the workflow. For shops running production volume, that means one fewer fastening step at the door. The hinge body is plated steel in a nickel finish, a neutral match to satin nickel and similar hardware across a range of door and drawer pulls.
Cabinet shops and contractors reach for this hinge when the project has specific clearance problems that a standard-angle hinge cannot solve, and when door blanks are CNC-prepped for dowel mounting. It fits both frameless and face-frame boxes, so a single stocking SKU covers mixed cabinet types on the same job. The self-close spring is the right choice where a quiet return matters but a damped soft-close is not in the spec. For doors that need a cushioned, slam-free close at this opening angle, note that soft-close is not available at 170 degrees across the catalog, but this 155 degree self-close version is the wide-angle option at the top of the soft-close-capable range. A matching base plate is required and sold separately; use a plate from the same series to confirm arm engagement and overlay.
A 110 degree hinge opens the door about a quarter turn from closed, enough for most everyday access. At 155 degrees the door swings nearly flat with the cabinet side, which clears walls, appliances, and adjacent doors that would block a shorter swing.
Self-close. A spring pulls the door shut over the last few degrees. It does not cushion the close the way a soft-close damper does. If the project calls for a quiet, slam-free close, a soft-close hinge is the better choice for doors at standard opening angles.
Yes. The hinge cup mounts to the door and the arm clips to a base plate that fastens to the cabinet. The plate is sold separately. Match it to this series and to your cabinet construction, frameless or face-frame.
The cup carries pre-mounted dowels that press into bored holes in the door rather than using cup screws. Your door blanks need to be bored for the dowel pattern before installation. This is common in CNC-machined production environments.
When a standard swing is not enough, this 155 degree self-close hinge solves the clearance problem without changing the full overlay look of the finished cabinet run.
