This Grass Tiomos soft-close hinge is built for half overlay cabinet doors on both face-frame and frameless cabinets, with a screw-on mount, integrated soft-close damping, and a nickel finish.
Half overlay is the right choice when two doors meet on a shared center partition, each covering roughly half the panel edge, and when a project calls for a partial rather than full overlap of the cabinet side. It is equally at home on a single door that sits at a reduced offset from the opening edge. The 35mm cup bores into the back of the door at a 12.6mm depth, and the arm connects to a Grass base plate mounted to the cabinet. That plate is a separate purchase, matched to the Tiomos series and your cabinet construction. Use Grass Tiomos plates only: plate engagement is brand and series specific, and a plate from another manufacturer will not connect to this arm.
The hinge is plated steel in a nickel finish, consistent with the rest of the Tiomos line. Soft-close is integrated directly into the hinge body, so there is nothing to add or retrofit later. The three-way adjustment handles the settling and seasonal movement that shift doors out of alignment over time, keeping the reveal even across a full run of doors without removing them from the cabinet.
Cabinet shops running face-frame kitchens and contractors on frameless commercial or residential projects can both use this hinge.
