Belwith Keeler Knob Backplate 2" (51mm) Diameter White, P69-W

English Cozy Porcelain Backplate For Calm Style

English Cozy Series porcelain backplate gives a cabinet, furniture piece, or door pull a composed, traditional base that visually finishes the installation. The backplate is part of Hickory Hardware's Tranquility Collection, so it is designed to bring a calm, introspective air to a room where hardware can otherwise look busy. The unobtrusive round design means the backplate supports the knob or pull without pulling attention away from the rest of the project, which helps when hardware must coordinate with changing decor. The white porcelain material offers a neutral surface that works with a wide range of finishes, letting one backplate model stay consistent across mixed hardware. With its round layout, the backplate centers naturally under the pull, simplifying layout on doors and drawer fronts where alignment matters.

Key Backplate Details That Support Your Project

• The 2 inch diameter size creates a defined visual base under a knob or pull, which helps proportion smaller doors or drawers and can cover minor surface blemishes around an existing bore.
• The white finish on the porcelain surface presents a clean, neutral face that blends with light cabinetry or contrasts darker finishes, giving flexibility when coordinating multiple rooms or future updates.
• The composed, traditional style from Hickory Hardware's Tranquility Collection adds a calm, classic look that suits projects where hardware should feel understated instead of ornate.
• The unobtrusive round design keeps edges away from neighboring doors and drawers, which supports tight reveals and lets you maintain consistent gaps on fitted cabinetry.
• The backplate is part of the English Cozy Series within Belwith Keeler decorative hardware, so it aligns with other components in the series when a unified look across a kitchen or built-in is important.

Installation Dimensions And Projection Considerations

This backplate has a stated length or diameter of 2 inches, giving you a clear footprint to plan around existing bores or layout lines on new work. That round footprint helps define a consistent reveal around the knob or pull center, which matters on doors with narrow stiles. The projection is specified at 3/8 inch, so the backplate lifts the hardware slightly off the surface, providing a small visual shadow line while keeping the overall assembly low profile. That low projection supports comfortable gripping without building too far out into tight walkways, which can be important on tall pantry doors or island ends near traffic.

Backplate Use In Decorative Hardware Layouts

Where This Round White Backplate Fits Best

This decorative hardware backplate is categorized under Backplates within decorative hardware and moldings, so it is suited to sit between the cabinet surface and a knob or pull on doors and drawers. The 2 inch diameter works well on standard cabinet fronts where a modest footprint is preferred over oversized plates, especially on face frames and narrow rails. Because the material is white porcelain from the English Cozy Series, it naturally fits projects where a softer, cottage-like or tranquil aesthetic is desired over sharp, metallic accents. The round shape also adapts to both vertical and horizontal pull orientations, which matters when the same style needs to run across doors, drawers, and possibly furniture pieces.

Why These Backplate Details Support Consistent Results

The specified 2 inch diameter gives installers a fixed reference when laying out multiples across a run of cabinets, supporting consistent spacing to edges and neighboring hardware. That consistent footprint helps when replacing older hardware, because the round plate can visually cover small marks around previous bore centers while keeping the new knob centered. The 3/8 inch projection creates a predictable stand-off that affects how a knob feels in hand, maintaining room for fingers without pushing the pull assembly excessively away from the case. The calm, traditional styling from Hickory Hardware's Tranquility Collection reduces visual noise, so rows of backplates read as a continuous, ordered line rather than a series of competing shapes. As part of a Belwith Keeler decorative hardware family, this backplate can tie together different locations in the same project while keeping measurements and proportions stable from cabinet to cabinet.
