This Rev-A-Shelf 4VL waste pullout pairs a maple wood carriage with a soft-close slide mechanism and a 35 quart white bin, bringing a warm, furniture-grade look to the inside of a base cabinet.
Most waste pullouts treat the carriage as hidden hardware. The 4VL takes a different approach: a maple wood carriage that looks at home alongside finished plywood or hardwood cabinet interiors rather than sitting in contrast to them. That matters in a custom kitchen, a designer bath, or any cabinet where the door swings open and the interior is part of the presentation. The full-extension slides bring the bin all the way out so it is accessible from the front, and the 35 quart capacity handles everyday household waste without constant emptying.
The carriage is maple, a tight-grained hardwood that takes finish well and holds up to the regular in-and-out of daily use. The soft-close mechanism engages at the end of the closing stroke, slowing the bin down before it seats, so the cabinet does not slam even when the bin is heavy. At 11-1/2 inches wide and 21-1/2 inches deep, the unit is sized for a standard narrow base cabinet, with a minimum cabinet opening of 11-1/2 inches. The 75 pound weight capacity gives the slides real headroom above a typical loaded 35 quart bin. To connect the bin's travel to the cabinet door, add a door-mount bracket, which is sold separately.
This pullout is the right call when the cabinet interior is visible, finished, or part of a considered design, and a plain metal or silver-metallic carriage would look out of place. Cabinet shops building custom kitchens or bath vanities, designers specifying for a client who notices what is inside the cabinet, and homeowners finishing a renovation where the details count are the natural buyers here. The carriage is door-mount compatible, but the door-mount bracket is sold separately. Add it to have the bin roll out when the cabinet door opens.
The maple carriage is the better fit when the cabinet interior is finished wood or visible to the eye. A metal carriage works fine in a utility cabinet; the maple reads as intentional in a custom or finished interior.
