In a frameless cabinet, a Maxcess slide screws directly to the flat interior side along its full length. The rear mounting bracket bridges that gap, fastening to the cabinet back or side and carrying the slide's rear end at the correct height. Without it, the slide tips, the drawer rubs, and the 7/8 extension travel the Maxcess is designed to deliver becomes uneven.
