The Karran Profile PU23L is an 18-gauge stainless steel undermount kitchen sink with an unequal 40/60 double bowl, sized to fit a 36-inch base cabinet and designed to mount beneath quartz, granite, or solid surface countertops.
The 40/60 split is a deliberate workflow decision. The smaller left bowl, 16 inches long by 13 inches wide and 7-1/2 inches deep, handles rinsing produce, defrosting, or holding a colander without tying up the entire sink. The larger right bowl, 18-1/2 inches long by 15-1/4 inches wide and 8-1/2 inches deep, has the depth and width to handle a sheet pan, a large stockpot, or a stack of dinner plates. Running both bowls at once is easy because neither one crowds the other.
The undermount profile keeps the countertop surface running flush to the bowl edge, so wiping crumbs and liquid directly into the sink is straightforward. There is no raised rim to catch debris or interrupt the prep surface.
At 18 gauge, the stainless steel walls are thick enough to resist flexing and deflect the resonant drumming that thinner-gauge sinks develop over time. The stainless steel finish handles daily kitchen use and wipes clean without special care. The bowl interiors meet the countertop cutout edge with a continuous, clean line rather than a surface rim.
This sink is built for a primary kitchen, not a bar or prep station. The 40/60 configuration suits households and professional kitchens where a single-bowl sink is not enough separation but a true 50/50 split gives each bowl less working room than the task requires. It pairs well with a quartz or granite countertop in a 36-inch base-cabinet run. Because it is an undermount, it needs a countertop material that supports undermounting, specifically quartz, granite, or solid surface, and the countertop should be fabricated or cut to fit before the sink is ordered. This sink is not ADA compliant.
It is designed to undermount into quartz, granite, and solid surface countertops. Laminate and tile are not listed as compatible.
The right bowl is the larger of the two at 8-1/2 inches deep, giving it more clearance for tall cookware. The left bowl is 7-1/2 inches deep, which is a comfortable depth for lighter prep work.
A 36-inch wide base cabinet is required. The sink overall measures 31-1/2 inches side to side and 20-1/2 inches front to back.
