Most front locking devices clip onto the slide from the front of the drawer box. A vertical-mount clip seats from above, which opens up two practical scenarios. First, when a drawer box is already in the cabinet and a side-access clip would require pulling the box, the vertical approach lets the installer seat and adjust the front without disturbing the drawer's position. Second, on drawer boxes where the side clearance is too tight for a standard clip to seat cleanly, the vertical geometry gets the fixing done without forcing the fit. Both situations come up in production shops and on retrofit jobs where cabinet interiors leave little working room.
The clips are molded in black plastic, which keeps weight low and eliminates any risk of the clip scratching a finished interior surface during installation or operation.
