Wall Anchors Snaptoggle 3/16-24 is a heavy-duty hollowwall anchor from MECHANICAL PLASTICS CORP designed for mounting into walls, ceilings, or floors made of materials such as gypsum board, drywall with a steel stud, concrete block, and tile over drywall. This SNAPTOGGLE anchor uses a 3/16-24 metal bolt-to-metal channel connection, so the load is carried by the steel channel rather than relying on the wall material alone. The anchor is pre-assembled and ready for immediate use, which speeds up layout work when multiple fasteners are needed on a job. A ratcheting strap and locking cap assembly positions the one-piece zinc-plated steel anchoring channel flush against the rear of the wall, helping create a solid bearing surface. The cap then slides down the straps to lock flush against the front of the wall, giving a clamped wall section that supports stable fastening.
The SNAPTOGGLE anchor uses a ratcheting strap and locking cap assembly to control installation. Once the one-piece zinc-plated steel anchoring channel is placed through the opening and flipped behind the wall, the ratcheting straps pull the channel tight so it sits flush against the rear surface. The locking cap then slides down the straps until it rests flush against the front of the wall, clamping the material between front cap and rear channel. The straps on the outside of the wall are easily and quickly snapped off by hand flush with the wall surface, so no extra tools are required to finish positioning the anchor before installing the 3/16-24 bolt. This sequence helps produce consistent alignment and a neat, low-profile opening ready for the bolt.
The SNAPTOGGLE anchor is specified for use in hollow walls, ceilings, or floors constructed from materials such as gypsum board, drywall backed by a steel stud, concrete block, and tile over drywall. On wall installations, the ratcheting strap and locking cap assembly allows the one-piece zinc-plated steel anchoring channel to sit flush against the rear of the wall, creating a metal bearing surface behind the hollow space. In ceilings or floor voids built from similar materials, this same metal channel behind the surface supports the 3/16-24 metal bolt connection where a solid backing is not otherwise present. Because the anchor relies on a metal bolt-to-metal channel connection, performance is tied to the strength and positioning of the steel channel rather than the holding power of the wall material alone.
The SNAPTOGGLE heavy-duty hollowwall anchor uses a ratcheting strap and locking cap assembly to tension the one-piece zinc-plated steel anchoring channel snugly against the back of the wall, which helps ensure that the channel bears evenly across the interior surface. This arrangement creates a clamped section of wall between the rear steel channel and the front locking cap, which supports stable loading when the 3/16-24 metal bolt is tightened. Since holding is dependent only on a metal bolt to metal channel connection, the fastened item relies on a direct steel-to-steel interface rather than crumbling wall material, which is important in gypsum board and drywall with a steel stud. The pre-assembled design means the ratcheting straps, locking cap, and anchoring channel are supplied as a single unit, so the installation sequence stays consistent from one anchor point to the next on repetitive work.
Wall Anchors Snaptoggle 3/16-24 is a heavy-duty hollowwall anchor with a 3/16-24 metal bolt-to-metal channel connection, which supports secure fastening in hollow construction materials.
The SNAPTOGGLE anchor is for use in walls, ceilings, or floors made of materials such as gypsum board, drywall with a steel stud, concrete block, and tile over drywall, covering many hollow construction conditions.
The SNAPTOGGLE ratcheting strap and locking cap assembly pulls the steel anchoring channel flush to the rear of the wall and locks the cap flush to the front, creating a clamped wall section for consistent mounting.
The one-piece zinc-plated steel anchoring channel spans behind the wall surface and provides the metal channel for the 3/16-24 bolt, so the load transfers through metal rather than just through wall material.
The SNAPTOGGLE anchor is designed so the 3/16-24 bolt engages directly with the steel channel, meaning the main holding force is carried by that metal interface instead of by gypsum or drywall strength.
The SNAPTOGGLE straps snap off by hand flush with the wall surface, so no extra tools are required for that step, which streamlines installation and leaves a clean opening for the bolt.
The SNAPTOGGLE, 3/16-24 from MECHANICAL PLASTICS CORP is a heavy-duty hollowwall anchor designed for materials such as gypsum board, drywall with a steel stud, concrete block, and tile over drywall. Its pre-assembled ratcheting strap and locking cap assembly positions the one-piece zinc-plated steel anchoring channel flush against the back of the wall and locks the cap to the front. Holding is dependent only on a metal bolt to metal channel connection, so each fastener point benefits from a direct steel interface. For projects through Wurth Baer Supply that need dependable hollowwall fastening with a controlled installation sequence, this SNAPTOGGLE anchor offers a focused solution.
