Edgebanding 2416 Black .018" Thick x 15/16" Width is a PVC edge banding from Doellken Woodtape designed to cover and protect exposed panel edges, so cut board edges present a uniform black finished look on cabinets and fixtures. The .018 inch thickness gives a low-profile edge treatment that sits neatly on the substrate, which helps panels keep a sleek appearance without a bulky edge. The 15/16 inch width is sized for standard 3/4 inch panels with a small overhang, allowing trimming back to a precise edge line after bonding. The black color provides a consistent dark edge, which supports designs that use dark laminates or painted surfaces where a matching edge is important. The Doellken Woodtape brand identity signals a purpose-built edgebanding product, so shops can match this part number again when repeating jobs or repairs.
This edge banding uses a .018 inch stated thickness, which creates a relatively thin PVC face that transitions smoothly to the panel surface, helping reduce the feel of a step at the edge once trimmed. The 15/16 inch width gives working room on 3/4 inch stock, so installers can align the band slightly proud on both sides and then trim it back for flush, chip-free edges. The description references a 600FT/RL format, which indicates a continuous run suited to longer cabinet or fixture jobs, letting fabricators apply multiple parts from one roll and maintain color continuity along the entire job.
This product is classified under Edgebanding & Surfacing in the Edge Banding category, which places it squarely in cabinet, casework, and general woodworking projects that use sheet goods needing finished edges. The black color and 15/16 inch width work well where 3/4 inch panels form visible fronts, sides, or shelves, so exposed core edges can be covered with a matching dark strip. Because the SAP description notes 3/4X018 EB, BLACK 600FT/RL, this roll format suits production runs where repeated parts all share the same black edge treatment. Shops working with laminate or similar surfacing materials can use this PVC band to visually finish panel edges so the core remains protected behind the applied strip.
The .018 inch thickness specified in the product name gives fabricators a predictable PVC layer that is thick enough to mask the edge yet thin enough to keep the transition subtle, which supports smooth-feeling edges after trimming and finishing passes. The 15/16 inch width is slightly wider than nominal 3/4 inch panels, giving room to position the band with some margin while still trimming back to a clean line on both faces. This extra working width helps reduce visible misalignment because the final flush condition is created during trimming rather than at placement. Using the part number 2416-1218-1 allows shops to standardize on this exact combination of thickness, width, and black color, which streamlines future orders when matching past installations or maintaining a consistent edge appearance across related jobs.
This product is classified as PVC edgebanding, so it provides a plastic edge surface that shields the panel edge from direct exposure in typical woodworking environments.
The .018 inch thickness produces a relatively thin band, helping the transition from band to surface feel smooth while still covering the edge of the core material.
The 15/16 inch width gives a small overhang on 3/4 inch material, allowing installers to trim both faces back to a clean, flush line after bonding.
The 600FT/RL description indicates a long roll length, which supports running multiple cabinet or shelf parts from one continuous roll with consistent color along the job.
The stated black color creates a solid dark edge, helping panel edges visually align with black surfaces or provide deliberate contrast in cabinet and fixture layouts.
Part number 2416-1218-1 uniquely identifies this Doellken Woodtape black PVC edgebanding, allowing fabricators to reorder the exact same thickness, width, and color for repeat work.
The Edgebanding 2416 Black .018" Thick x 15/16" Width from Doellken Woodtape combines a slim PVC profile, black color, and 600FT/RL format so panel edges on 3/4 inch stock can be finished consistently across a project. Using the manufacturer part number 2416-1218-1 and the SAP description 3/4X018 EB, BLACK 600FT/RL ties this specific thickness, width, and color to your job records, helping future work match the same edge appearance. For woodworking shops needing a dedicated black edge band for sheet goods, this PVC edgebanding offers defined dimensions that support repeatable results on cabinets, fixtures, and casework.
