Belwith Keeler Manor House Knob Backplate 5-1/2" (140mm) Long Lancaster Brass Hand Polished, P326-LP

Lancaster Brass Backplate For Refined Cabinet Detailing

Lancaster brass backplate defines this Belwith Keeler piece as a decorative base that supports cabinet pulls while adding a finished look around the mounting area. The backplate is part of the Queen Annes Lace Series, so it ties visually into that collection when coordinating hardware across a project. The Manor House by Hickory Hardware designation connects it to a traditional aesthetic, which suits classic cabinetry and furniture styles. The backplate length of 5-1/2 in (140 mm) spans a noticeable area behind a pull, helping visually frame the handle on wider rail sections. A 1 in width keeps the profile narrow, which is useful where stile or rail face is limited. The 1/8 in projection keeps the backplate relatively low off the door or drawer face, supporting a clean fit against the surface without adding bulk behind the pull base.

Design Details That Support Cabinet Projects

• The 5-1/2 in (140 mm) length creates a substantial visual footprint behind a pull, which helps define the handle area on cabinet doors or drawers for a more intentional layout.
• The 1 in width keeps the backplate slender, so it works on narrower rails and stiles where wider plates might crowd edges or interfere with nearby hardware alignment.
• The 1/8 in projection provides a shallow stand-off from the surface, which helps the plate sit close to the face and maintain a neat profile behind the pull base.
• The Lancaster Brass finish delivers a consistent brass tone across the backplate surface, which supports visual continuity when matching to Lancaster Brass pulls in the same installation.
• The zinc die cast material defines the backplate construction, providing a stable formed base for the pull mounting area in typical cabinet and furniture environments.

Mounting Dimensions For Backplate Alignment

The stated 5-1/2 in (140 mm) length gives a clear dimension for centering this backplate on doors or drawers relative to panel edges and other hardware. With a 1 in width, the backplate occupies a narrow band of face area, which is helpful when aligning it on slim stiles or framing pieces. The 1/8 in projection reflects a low-profile design, so the plate stays close to the surface and allows the pull base to seat over it without excessive stand-off. The SAP description "BACKPLATE, LANCSTR BRASS" confirms the role of this part as a backplate, supporting its use specifically as the mounting base behind a handle or pull in cabinet layouts.

Using This Belwith Keeler Backplate In Projects

Where This Lancaster Brass Backplate Fits Best

This backplate is categorized under Decorative Hardware & Moldings in the Backplates class, which positions it for use on cabinet doors, drawers, and similar furniture faces where a decorative backer is required behind a pull. The Queen Annes Lace Series affiliation gives it a coordinated role when used alongside other pieces in that series, supporting consistent styling across an entire room or bank of cabinetry. The Lancaster Brass finish specification ties the appearance to that finish family, making it appropriate wherever Lancaster Brass hardware is part of the design scheme. With a 5-1/2 in length and 1 in width, the plate suits applications where a longer, narrow visual accent behind the pull aligns with rail shapes and proportions.

Details That Support Repeatable Hardware Layouts

The 5-1/2 in (140 mm) length provides a predictable dimension that installers can use to layout hardware locations consistently from door to door, aiding uniform spacing across multiple fronts. A 1 in width helps when establishing clearances to panel edges, allowing repeatable positioning on narrow or standard-width stiles. The 1/8 in projection keeps the backplate thin relative to the surface, so pulls mounted over it can sit close to the door or drawer front, which supports a tidy look across repeated installations. The zinc die cast material gives the backplate a defined, molded form, which supports consistent seating against the surface from piece to piece during larger runs. The Manor House by Hickory Hardware identification ties this specific design back to a known style line, which simplifies repeat ordering when matching existing installations that already use the same pattern and finish.
