An 18 inch cabinet member suits standard kitchen base-cabinet drawer boxes — the depth range that covers most pot, pan, and utensil drawers in residential and light-commercial cabinetry. The 1/2 inch side clearance per slide is the standard allowance for side-mount ball-bearing hardware; build the drawer box 1 inch narrower than the cabinet opening and both members seat correctly. This is a standard-motion slide — no soft-close, no self-close, no detent — so the drawer stays wherever it is left. If the project calls for damped closing, choose a soft-close variant instead.
Steel construction with a zinc electroplated finish provides the corrosion resistance appropriate for dry indoor cabinet environments. The zinc finish on this Pro Value Series member coordinates cleanly with standard zinc-finished drawer members and mounting hardware, keeping the interior hardware consistent across a run of cabinets.
