The Tenn-Tex C-317 is a screw-on, non-handed rear mounting bracket designed to support undermount drawer slides at the back of the cabinet. It accommodates two mounting positions — 31mm and 35mm — giving installers flexibility when positioning slides in face-frame or other cabinet configurations that require rear-end support.
Undermount slides need support at both ends. In frameless cabinets, the side panel carries the slide along its full length, so no rear bracket is needed. In face-frame construction, the cabinet side is set back from the frame opening and the rear of the slide has nothing to fasten to — that is exactly what this bracket solves. It attaches to the cabinet back or rear cross-rail, giving the slide's back end a solid anchor at the correct height and depth. The screw-on mount is especially useful in field installs or retrofit work, where a drill press and boring template are not on site and precise hole patterns are not already machined into the box.
Tenn-Tex builds the C-317 as a molded plastic component, consistent with the rest of the QuikTRAY-era Tenn-Tex support hardware line. The screw-on holes are formed into the bracket body, so no secondary prep is needed before fastening. The non-handed geometry means the same molded part covers both sides of the cabinet — one SKU, one inventory line, no left-right sorting at the bench.
Cabinet shops running face-frame production with undermount slides keep rear mounting brackets on hand as a standing consumable — one bracket per slide, per drawer, every time. The 400-count box format suits that volume without constant reordering. Contractors retrofitting undermount slides into existing face-frame casework will find the screw-on mount the fastest path to a solid rear anchor when the cabinet box is already assembled and a dowelled version is not practical. The two positions let you set the slide at slightly different depths from the cabinet back to suit the cabinet's construction and the slide's required installation depth. Choose the position that puts the slide at the correct height and alignment for your drawer box.
Dowelled brackets require accurately bored holes — practical on a CNC line but awkward in field installs or retrofit work. Screw-on brackets fasten directly with screws into the cabinet back or rear rail, no boring template required. If your process already uses CNC-bored rear panels, look at the dowelled versions in this family instead.
