Amerock Thoreau backplate is a square cabinet backplate from the Amerock Thoreau Series in champagne bronze. The 1-9/16 inch length and 1-9/16 inch width create a compact, balanced footprint that works well behind a knob or pull base. This backplate sits between your decorative hardware and the cabinet surface, defining a clean transition point that visually frames the hardware. The champagne bronze finish gives the piece a warm metallic tone, which helps tie together matching Amerock finishes on surrounding decorative hardware. With its square profile and consistent dimensions, the part aligns easily with cabinet layouts that repeat a centered knob position, supporting a uniform look across a run of doors or drawers.
The 1-9/16 inch by 1-9/16 inch size defines the overall footprint of this Amerock Thoreau backplate, so the installer knows exactly how much face area it will cover on a cabinet door or drawer front. Because the part is square, the same dimension applies vertically and horizontally, which simplifies centering a knob or pull shank over the middle of the plate. The compact size limits the visual field to a tight border around the hardware, which suits projects where the backplate is meant to highlight the knob without dominating the face of a narrow stile or small drawer front.
The Amerock Thoreau Series, Backplate 1-9/16 inch length by 1-9/16 inch width in champagne bronze is sized for cabinet applications that call for a small, square plate behind a knob or pull post. The equal length and width help when positioning the backplate on doors that share a consistent stile dimension, because the measured reveal from each edge stays the same in both directions. This square proportion also works well on drawers, where the installer may center the plate on the drawer front height while aligning it with the drawer width centerline. On runs of upper and lower cabinets, repeating the 1-9/16 inch square footprint allows a consistent visual rhythm, especially when the same Amerock Thoreau Series styling is carried across knobs, pulls, and other decorative elements in champagne bronze.
The manufacturer part number BP37600CZ identifies this specific Thoreau backplate configuration, which matters when repeating a selection across multiple rooms or reordering for future work on the same project. Because the Web Description and SAP Description both state Thoreau backplate in champagne bronze, the installer can match this language to project notes and schedules that specify that exact finish and series. The combination of Amerock branding, Thoreau Series naming, and BP37600CZ part number provides a clear reference chain, supporting consistent selection whenever the same square 1-9/16 inch backplate is required. Using this defined identity helps avoid mixing similar-looking parts with different finishes or sizes when building out a coordinated decorative hardware plan.
