Amerock Thoreau backplate 3 CC defines this piece as a decorative backplate from the Amerock Thoreau Series, so it works as a visual base behind a pull while keeping the hardware layout consistent across doors and fronts. The 3 inch center-to-center sizing aligns with pulls drilled on that common boring pattern, helping installers match existing layouts in kitchens or built-ins. The champagne bronze finish identifies the color tone of the metal surface, which supports design choices when pairing with pulls or hinges in the same finish family. The Amerock brand naming and BP37601CZ part number connect this backplate directly to a known decorative hardware line, which matters when projects are specified by series or when additional matching pieces are ordered later.
The 3 inch center-to-center measurement on this Amerock Thoreau Series backplate corresponds to the distance between typical pull mounting points, so it fits on fronts where hardware holes are already drilled to that standard. This fixed spacing allows the backplate to sit behind a pull while matching those locations without altering the boring pattern. The backplate category classification confirms it is intended as a trim piece under a pull, which helps define its role in the assembly and how it lines up with the hardware footprint.
This Amerock Thoreau Series backplate is categorized under decorative hardware and moldings, defining its role on cabinet doors and drawers as a visual and layout element behind a pull. The backplate product class shows it is designed to sit between the cabinet surface and the pull, so it occupies the same footprint as the pull base across the 3 inch center-to-center span. The Thoreau naming links it to the broader Thoreau Series from Amerock, allowing cabinets, vanities, or built-ins specified with that series to share the same stylistic family. This relationship lets installers match the backplate to Thoreau pulls or other Amerock pieces when coordinating across multiple openings or matching existing hardware on a remodel.
The 3 inch center-to-center sizing on this Amerock BP37601CZ backplate aligns with a common pull standard, so layouts drilled to that measurement can accept the backplate without shifting hole locations. This consistent spacing reduces layout variation across a bank of drawers or doors because every pull and backplate pair shares the same drilling reference. The champagne bronze finish on the backplate sets the color presented around the base of the pull, which helps tie together other champagne bronze elements on the project such as knobs or decorative moldings. The fact that it is a backplate from the Amerock Thoreau Series means specifiers can tie this exact finish and style to written hardware schedules, supporting repeat use of the same detail in future phases or matching in replacement work.
