Amerock Thoreau backplate identifies this piece as part of the Amerock Thoreau Series, which ties the look of your decorative hardware together on a job where a consistent style matters. The product is a backplate from Amerock Corporation, so it is designed as the trim component that sits behind a pull or knob in a decorative hardware layout. The center-to-center dimension of 5-1/16 inches provides a defined hole spacing for the pull that works with this backplate, which matters when laying out drilling patterns on doors and drawers. The description also states 128mm CC, so the mounting span is expressed in both inch and metric terms, helping layout in shops that work from either standard or metric drawings. The oil-rubbed bronze description defines the visual finish, which matters when this backplate needs to align with other bronze-finished hardware on the same installation.
The 5-1/16 inch center-to-center figure defines the spacing between the mounting centers that line up with the pull installed over this Amerock Thoreau Series backplate, which aids in marking consistent hole locations across many fronts. The same spacing expressed as 128mm CC gives the identical layout in metric terms, which helps when CNC or shop drawings are dimensioned in millimeters instead of inches. The part identification as a backplate signals that it fits behind a cabinet pull or knob in a decorative hardware stack, so this dimension directly guides where the installer bores the panel to accept the matching pull fasteners.
The Amerock Thoreau Series label places this backplate in the Thoreau decorative hardware family, which is useful when you are selecting matching pulls and other components from the same series for a coordinated installation. Its classification as Decorative Hardware & Moldings in the Backplates, Amerock product class defines it as a trim element for cabinet or similar surfaces, so it fits naturally into projects where you are planning a deliberate hardware layout rather than a purely functional install. The 5-1/16 inch center-to-center dimension points to use behind a pull with the same span, which is important when you are matching existing pull drilling or planning new holes that must align precisely. The 128mm CC dimension in the SAP description repeats this span, which proves helpful on jobs that rely on metric shop drawings while still referencing imperial-based product literature. The oil-rubbed bronze finish description supports use on projects where that bronze appearance is part of the design palette, such as traditional or transitional cabinets that call for darker decorative hardware tones.
The Manufacturer Part # BP37603ORB uniquely identifies this Amerock backplate, which streamlines re-ordering the same component across multiple projects when you want repeatable hardware choices. The Web Description and SAP Description both state Amerock Thoreau Series with 5-1/16 inch or 128mm center-to-center, which gives a consistent reference that installers and purchasing teams can use across documents, reducing confusion when matching parts to drawings. Knowing that this piece is categorized under Decorative Hardware & Moldings as a backplate defines its role behind a pull, so layout teams can assign it to the correct hardware line on cut lists and hardware schedules. The oil-rubbed bronze wording on both the product name and SAP description provides a stable color reference, which helps designers and installers keep the finish consistent across replacements or future additions to the same cabinets. The Amerock Corporation brand connection ties it to a recognizable hardware manufacturer, which can simplify specifying a single brand family when building standard sets for recurring cabinet lines or commercial millwork programs.
The Amerock Thoreau Series backplate has a 5-1/16 inch center-to-center span, so installers can base pull drilling layouts on this precise measurement for consistent results.
