Amerock Thoreau backplate 6-5/16 CC oil-rubbed bronze describes a decorative backplate from the Amerock Thoreau Series that sits behind a pull or similar cabinet hardware to cover the mounting area. The product is identified as a backplate in the Decorative Hardware & Moldings category, so it serves as a trim component rather than a primary pull. The 6-5/16 inch center-to-center layout, also expressed as 160mm CC, positions the mounting holes at a fixed spacing that matches pulls drilled for the same center-to-center dimension, which keeps hardware alignment consistent across doors or drawers. The oil-rubbed bronze finish indicated in the description provides a dark, traditional color tone that visually coordinates with other oil-rubbed bronze hardware in a project. The Amerock branding and the Thoreau Series naming tie this backplate to a defined design family from Amerock Corporation, supporting a uniform look wherever matching Thoreau components are used.
The 6-5/16 inch center-to-center specification on this Amerock Thoreau backplate defines the distance between its mounting holes, so it is set up to work with pulls drilled on the same 6-5/16 inch spacing on cabinet doors or drawers. The 160mm CC measurement in the SAP description states the same spacing in metric units, which aligns with metric-based cabinetry layouts where hole locations are laid out in millimeters. Because the product is categorized as a backplate rather than a pull, it is designed to sit between the cabinet surface and the selected hardware, so the pull or other front hardware shares those center-to-center mounting points. The oil-rubbed bronze finish called out in the product name and description sets the visible face color once installed, helping the backplate visually blend with pulls and knobs that share an oil-rubbed bronze appearance.
This Amerock Thoreau Series backplate is identified in the product data as Decorative Hardware & Moldings, which positions it as a trim element for cabinet fronts rather than a structural hinge or slide. Its backplate classification within Amerock product classes signals that it is intended to sit behind other cabinet hardware, such as pulls aligned to the same center-to-center dimension. The 6-5/16 inch, or 160mm, center-to-center spacing defines a specific pull size category, so it fits cabinet situations where doors or drawers are drilled for that spacing and the design calls for an added decorative plate behind the pull. The oil-rubbed bronze description provides the color cue needed when planning around dark bronze-toned hardware suites across kitchen, bath, or built-in cabinetry runs. Because the product belongs to the Amerock Thoreau Series, it supports projects that rely on that series naming to coordinate multiple decorative pieces under the same aesthetic.
The clearly stated 6-5/16 inch center-to-center dimension on this Amerock BP37604ORB backplate lets installers work from a known mounting pattern when drilling or matching existing 6-5/16 inch pull holes, which keeps each backplate and pull aligned in a straight visual line across doors and drawers. The parallel 160mm CC reference in the SAP description expresses the same spacing for metric documentation, reducing conversion steps when hardware schedules or shop drawings are written in millimeters. The oil-rubbed bronze finish in the product name indicates the surface color that will show around the pull, giving designers and cabinet shops a defined finish to specify when matching hinges, pulls, and other decorative hardware in oil-rubbed bronze. The Amerock Corporation branding plus the BP37604ORB part number give a precise identifier for this Thoreau Series backplate, which aids in reordering the same style for future phases or replacement work where the appearance and dimensions must remain consistent.
