Amerock Thoreau backplate 192mm CC matte black describes a decorative backplate from the Amerock Thoreau Series that sits behind a pull or similar decorative hardware. This backplate mounts on the same 192mm center-to-center layout, so it follows the pull holes already drilled in the door or drawer front. The matte black finish keeps the look consistent with other matte black decorative hardware, which helps maintain a unified appearance on the job. The Thoreau Series identity ties this piece to Amerock Corporation's broader Thoreau line, supporting a coordinated style decision when matching other Thoreau parts. The 7-9/16 inch center-to-center dimension restates the 192mm CC sizing in inch terms, which helps translate measurements between metric and imperial layouts during layout and ordering.
The stated 192mm center-to-center pattern defines how this Amerock Thoreau Series backplate aligns under a pull, so pull posts set on a 192mm spread will sit directly over the backplate openings. The parallel 7-9/16 inch center-to-center dimension reflects the same spacing in imperial measure, which helps when shop drawings, CNC programs, or on-site layouts are documented in inches instead of millimeters. Because the Category lists this part under decorative hardware and moldings backplates, it points to a role on cabinet or similar fronts where hole spacing is a primary constraint, allowing the piece to drop into the existing pattern.
The Category entry of decorative hardware and moldings backplates positions this Amerock Thoreau Series part for cabinet and similar decorative applications, so it serves behind a pull on doors or drawer fronts. Its 192mm center-to-center layout targets fronts already drilled for a 192mm pull, letting the installer place the backplate between the pull and the surface without changing the drilling pattern. The Web Description and SAP Description both specifying matte black direct its use toward projects where a matte black decorative hardware theme is planned, keeping pulls and backplates visually coordinated across a run. The Thoreau Series naming links this backplate to other Thoreau pieces, which helps designers and installers maintain one series across multiple cabinet zones.
The 7-9/16 inch center-to-center dimension restates the 192mm CC spacing in familiar inch terms, which simplifies planning when working from imperial shop drawings that call out 7-9/16 inch pull spacing. The Amerock BP37605MB manufacturer part number uniquely identifies this exact Thoreau Series matte black backplate, which helps ordering workflows distinguish it from other Amerock backplates in different finishes or sizes. The matte black wording in both the SAP Description and Web Description highlights the finish as a defined attribute, aiding coordination with matte black pulls or other decorative hardware in the same space. The Product Class listing as Backplates, Amerock confirms its role as a backplate rather than a pull or knob, clarifying that it works as the surface piece paired with separate decorative hardware components.
The Amerock Thoreau Series backplate is specified at 192mm center-to-center, which sets the hole spacing it is intended to match on cabinet doors or drawer fronts.
The 7-9/16 inch center-to-center description restates the same 192mm spacing in imperial units, helping align the backplate with inch-based layout documents.
