Amerock Thoreau backplate identifies this piece as part of the Amerock Thoreau Series, so it matches other Thoreau decorative hardware in the same family for a consistent project look. The backplate is described as 8-13/16 inch center to center, which means it is sized to sit behind a pull or handle with that same hole spacing on a cabinet or furniture front. The product is categorized as decorative hardware and moldings in the backplates class, so it serves as a visual trim component rather than a structural hinge or slide part. The Amerock brand naming in the product class and description signals that it follows the manufacturer design standards for that series, which matters when coordinating finishes and styles across multiple doors and drawers.
The 8-13/16 inch center to center measurement defines how this backplate aligns between pull mounting points, which helps locate handle drilling on doors and drawers so the plate sits properly beneath the pull. The 224mm center to center value in the description restates that same spacing in metric terms, which supports metric-based shop layouts or CNC programming for hole placement. The Amerock Thoreau Series identity ties the plate to a known decorative style, which matters when spacing multiple pulls and backplates so the visual lines stay consistent across a run of cabinetry.
The Amerock Thoreau Series backplate is identified as part of the decorative hardware and moldings category, which places it in cabinet and furniture applications where appearance is an important part of the finished job. The 8-13/16 inch center to center dimension means it is suited to pulls or handles drilled to that same spacing on doors or drawer fronts, so it works naturally in layouts designed around that length. The reference to 224mm center to center in the SAP description aligns it with metric oriented projects, which can be helpful when coordinating international or metric shop standards with the same decorative style. The Amerock Thoreau name connects it to other Thoreau products, which supports projects where every visible hardware piece follows the same design language.
The BP37606CZ manufacturer part number is tied directly to the Thoreau backplate with 224mm center to center spacing, which helps avoid mixups with other Amerock backplates that may have different lengths or series styling. The 8-13/16 inch center to center label in the web description provides an inch based reference alongside the metric value, which reduces conversion work when coordinating between imperial drawings and metric system information. The Amerock Thoreau Series designation links the part visually to the rest of the Thoreau line, which matters when repeating the same backplate and pull combination across many openings so the hardware pattern stays uniform. The champagne bronze description identifies a specific finish name, which guides pull selection within Amerock offerings so the color naming lines up across all visible decorative hardware on the project.
