Founded in 1931 by Hurum E. Reeve in Torrance, California, Reeve Store Equipment Co. began as a solution to the founder's own need for quality store fixtures. Recognizing a broader market demand, the company evolved into a leading manufacturer of durable, versatile metal store fixtures and components. Under the leadership of Edgar Holland Reeve, the company expanded its product line to include the Universal Line of Stock Hardware and established a national network of independent distributors. In 1982, Edgar Hurum Reeve and John Frackelton acquired the company, introducing electro-plating capabilities and automation to maintain high-quality standards.
