Richwood Industries

Founded in 1988 by Rick and Deb Start, Richwood Industries began as a distributor of composite panel products and solid wood components. Over the years, the company has expanded its capabilities, including the acquisition of Accutech Components in 1998 and the purchase of Pacific Coating and Laminating's assets in 2002. In 1999, Richwood consolidated its operations under one roof in Grand Rapids, Michigan, formerly a Kmart Super Store, which underwent extensive renovations to meet manufacturing and distribution requirements. The company specializes in manufacturing PolyBak™, a sustainable backer and overlay material, and offers a range of products including tackboards, markerboards, and thermally fused laminate (TFL) panels. Richwood also provides contract manufacturing services such as drawer box building, cold press lamination, and Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery to support OEMs and finished goods manufacturers.
