This Rev-A-Shelf 563 Series pullout mounts to the inside of a base cabinet door and brings a two-prong dish towel bar forward every time the door opens, keeping towels off the counter and within reach at the sink.
Under-sink cabinets are where dish towels tend to pile up on the counter nearby because there is nowhere obvious to hang them inside the cabinet. This pullout solves that by putting a two-prong bar on the door itself. When someone opens the cabinet, the bar comes forward with it, towels in hand. It keeps a frequently grabbed item at arm's reach without cluttering the counter or the cabinet interior.
The door-mount configuration also means the interior of the cabinet stays clear. Plumbing, cleaning supplies, and bins can occupy the cabinet floor while the towel bar uses the door real estate that would otherwise go to waste.
The 563-51-C carries a polished chrome finish on a steel bar and frame. Polished chrome reads bright and reflective, a natural match for kitchens with chrome faucets, chrome drawer pulls, or stainless appliances. It holds up to the damp environment under a kitchen sink better than a painted or coated finish would, and the steel frame stays rigid rather than flexing under a wet towel's weight.
At 3-7/8 inches wide and just under 13 inches in depth, the bar tucks behind the door without projecting into the cabinet opening when closed.
This bar is sized for a base cabinet under the kitchen sink, where towels are reached most often and counter space is at a premium. It also works in a vanity cabinet if the opening clears the minimums and the polished chrome finish coordinates with the room's fixtures. Cabinet shops and installers fitting out a kitchen with chrome hardware throughout will find the finish straightforward to specify without a separate finish order. Homeowners doing a smaller refresh can add it to an existing cabinet without modifying the box, since the mount goes to the door.
The cabinet opening needs to be at least 5 inches wide, 13 inches deep, and 2 inches tall. Measure the clear interior opening before ordering, particularly the depth, since under-sink plumbing can reduce usable depth.
The unit mounts directly to the inside face of the cabinet door. When the door opens, the bar comes forward with it. No modification to the cabinet box is required.
Polished chrome is a brighter, more reflective finish than satin or brushed nickel. It coordinates most naturally with other polished chrome fixtures. If the kitchen's hardware is satin or matte, consider whether the contrast suits the look you're after.
The bar has two prongs and is designed to hold dish towels. One or two standard dish towels hang comfortably; bulkier hand towels may be tighter depending on thickness.
The 563 Series polished chrome dish towel bar puts frequently used towels on the cabinet door where they belong, in a finish built to match chrome hardware and stand up to the under-sink environment.
