Advice and support from knowledgeable professionals.
This is the left-hand rear mounting socket for the Salice A208 epoxy drawer slide series, designed to support the back end of the slide in face-frame cabinet installations where the panel does not extend to the front of the opening.
Face-frame cabinets set the cabinet side panel back from the front edge, which leaves the rear end of the slide without a mounting surface at the back of the opening. A rear mounting socket bridges that gap: it screws into the cabinet and receives the back of the slide, keeping the member level and properly supported through the full range of drawer travel. Without rear support in a face-frame install, the slide can tip and bind, especially under load. This socket is the A208 series solution for that requirement — it is not a universal part and does not fit other Salice slide families or other brands.
This socket is engineered for the Salice A208 epoxy drawer slide program. The A208 is a Euro-style bottom-mount roller slide used in production cabinet work; its rear socket is series-specific and will not interchange with sockets from other Salice lines or from competitors. Order the left-hand socket for the left side of each drawer opening and the right-hand socket for the right side — two sockets per drawer opening, one of each hand.
Cabinet shops running Salice A208 slides in face-frame construction are the primary buyer. The 200-unit box is sized for production runs, not one-off repairs — it suits a shop with standing A208 inventory that regularly builds or installs face-frame cabinetry. Contractors retrofitting or replacing A208 slides in existing face-frame cabinets will also find this quantity practical if the project involves multiple cabinets. If your installation is frameless, the A208 slide mounts directly to the cabinet side and these sockets are not required.
Two per drawer opening — one left-hand and one right-hand socket, one for each slide. This listing covers the left-hand side only; order the right-hand version separately to complete each pair.
Only the A208 series. Rear mounting sockets are engineered to the geometry of a specific slide program and are not interchangeable across Salice lines or other brands.
No. In frameless construction the slide screws directly to the cabinet side panel, so no rear socket is required. These sockets are a face-frame-specific accessory.
The socket uses standard screw-on attachment; follow the fastener recommendation in the Salice A208 installation guide for the correct screw size and placement.
Having the right rear support on hand means face-frame drawer openings go together without improvising — every A208 slide is properly backed, every drawer travels true, and the job moves forward on schedule.
