This VMI rectangular mantel liner is the metal housing that bridges a decorative wood range hood shell and a compatible Air-Pro ventilator, finished in stainless steel for a clean, professional interior fit.
A wood range hood comes together from three distinct parts: the decorative wood shell on the outside, the liner in the middle, and the ventilator that actually moves the air. This liner is the middle component. It installs inside the wood shell and provides the structured metal housing the Air-Pro ventilator mounts into, pulling the full assembly together so the shell, liner, and blower unit operate as a finished hood. Without the liner, the ventilator has no proper seat inside the shell, and the wood is left unprotected from the heat and airflow the ventilator generates.
The stainless steel finish is a practical choice for the liner position. It holds up to the heat and airflow the ventilator produces, and the bright metallic surface pairs naturally with stainless ventilation hardware. In kitchens where stainless appliances carry through the design, the liner interior stays visually consistent with the rest of the installed equipment. The 54-inch width and 4-inch height keep the liner proportion correct for the mantel shell it is designed to fit.
This liner is model-matched to the Air-Pro 08WP and 08E ventilators. Because the ventilator opening is cut to a specific size, the liner and ventilator are chosen as a pair so the blower unit seats squarely and the installation closes correctly. Cabinet shops and designers specifying a large mantel hood over a wide cooktop will find this liner sized for that scale. Confirm the ventilator model and the shell's interior dimensions before finalizing the order, since a liner that is off by size or ventilator series will not close the assembly correctly.
This liner is matched to the Air-Pro 08WP and 08E ventilators. It is sized and cut specifically for those models, so the ventilator seats correctly inside the liner opening.
No. This is the liner only. The Air-Pro ventilator that moves the air and the decorative wood shell that surrounds the assembly are separate products ordered to suit the installation.
Stainless steel holds up well in the liner position, where it is exposed to heat and airflow from the ventilator. It also coordinates with stainless ventilation hardware and stainless appliances for a consistent interior look.
The liner is 54 inches wide overall, 21-1/4 inches deep, and 4 inches tall, with a ventilator opening of 16-7/8 by 43-3/16 inches. Confirm these dimensions against the wood shell interior before ordering.
Specify this VMI stainless steel liner to connect an Air-Pro 08WP or 08E ventilator to a compatible mantel-style wood hood shell, and to bring a clean, stainless interior finish to the finished assembly.
