Contemporary rolling hardware kit is described as a Quiet Glide ladder hardware kit designed for a 16 inch wide library ladder in the Rolling Library Ladders product class, so it supports typical library-style ladder movement along a rail in woodworking and casework environments. The satin nickel finish is specified, which provides a contemporary appearance that aligns with modern cabinetry and built-ins where visible hardware needs a clean, consistent look. The product is classified under ladder hardware, so it serves as the working interface between the wood ladder and the mounting rail, taking on the operational load whenever the ladder is rolled or repositioned. The manufacturer part number QG.220.02 is provided, which identifies this exact configuration when matching to project plans, reorders, or additional openings that must match existing hardware visually and functionally.
The product is defined as a rolling hardware kit for a 16 inch wide library ladder, which sets the ladder body width expectation so fabricators can proportion stiles, rungs, and clearances around that working size. Being part of Rolling Library Ladders means this hardware supports a sliding or rolling motion along a rail, so installers can plan rail placement, clear floor paths, and ladder parking positions that reflect a moving ladder rather than a fixed unit. The satin nickel finish is specified in the name and SAP description, keeping the visible mounting components in a single finish, which simplifies coordination with hinges, pulls, and other satin nickel items in the same space. Listing the product under Builders Hardware and Ladder Hardware ties it directly into other architectural hardware decisions on the project, which helps designers and installers keep rolling ladder details aligned with the rest of the hardware schedule.
The kit is described as a contemporary rolling hardware kit for library applications, so it aligns naturally with built-in bookcases, storage walls, and other tall casework where a 16 inch wide ladder provides access across a run. Because it is part of the Rolling Library Ladders product class, it suits situations where the ladder needs to roll laterally along a rail, such as libraries, offices, or residential media rooms with continuous shelving. The satin nickel finish makes the hardware visually suited to contemporary or transitional spaces that already feature satin nickel cabinet pulls or door levers, helping the ladder hardware read as part of the same design language. Being identified as Quiet Glide brand ladder hardware associates it with a known rolling ladder line, which assists contractors and millworkers in matching this kit to existing Quiet Glide-based design standards across multi-room or phased projects.
The web description states that ladder hardware kits specify lower ladder wheels, Rolling, which means the base of the ladder is engineered to roll, allowing the ladder to move along the floor as the upper hooks track on the rail, making it easier to reposition between bays. The description also lists an Upper Hook and Rolling Hook hardware, which defines how the top of the ladder engages the rail, allowing both a static hook position and a rolling function that supports different working positions along the rail without lifting the ladder off. The same description notes that all fasteners and rung supports needed for an 8 foot ladder are provided for this type of kit, which indicates the hardware is set up around an 8 foot ladder height so fabrication and drilling patterns can be structured around that standard ladder length. Hammered Antique Brass finish pattern may vary is called out, which distinguishes that finish behavior from satin nickel, helping specifiers understand that the satin nickel version is identified separately when consistent surface pattern is desired on a project.
The Contemporary Rolling Hardware Kit is designed for a 16 inch wide library ladder, aligning the hardware layout with that specific ladder width for consistent fabrication and installation.
The ladder hardware kit description specifies lower ladder wheels, Rolling, meaning the bottom of the ladder rolls along the floor as the upper hook components guide movement on the rail.
The web description lists Upper Hook and Rolling Hook hardware, which define how the ladder top engages and moves along the rail to support repositioning across shelving runs.
The description notes all fasteners and rung supports needed for an 8 foot ladder, indicating the kit is configured around an 8 foot ladder length for layout and drilling patterns.
The product name and SAP description specify a satin nickel finish, giving the rolling ladder hardware a contemporary appearance that coordinates with other satin nickel project hardware.
The kit is listed under Builders Hardware, Ladder Hardware, and Rolling Library Ladders, using manufacturer part number QG.220.02 for precise project and purchasing references.
This satin nickel contemporary rolling ladder hardware kit from Quiet Glide is defined for a 16 inch wide, 8 foot library ladder, giving installers clear dimensional and finish parameters when planning built-in shelving or storage projects. Its listing under Builders Hardware, Ladder Hardware, and Rolling Library Ladders clarifies that it is intended as the operational hardware set for a rolling library-style ladder installation. For projects that call for a Quiet Glide library ladder look and function in satin nickel, this defined configuration and part number QG.220.02 provide a direct path from design intent to ordering through Wurth Baer Supply.
