72 inch extension rail for rolling library ladder gives a defined 6 foot length that extends the travel range of a Quiet Glide rolling ladder run in a predictable way. The rail diameter of 1 inch creates a consistent round profile for the ladder hardware interface, so the rolling mechanism tracks on a known dimension along the entire rail. Solid aluminum material provides a uniform, rigid base bar, which supports an even feel as the ladder rolls from section to section. The hammered antique brass finish on the rail presents a textured brass appearance that visually matches Quiet Glide hammered antique brass ladder hardware, so a new or extended rail section keeps the project appearance coordinated from end to end. The finish pattern may vary from piece to piece, which gives each rail length its own surface character while still staying within the hammered antique brass look.
The 1 inch diameter on this Quiet Glide ladder rail establishes the core geometry for planning bracket positions and ladder interface points, because the rolling hardware engages a round bar of that precise size. Solid aluminum material means the rail body behaves like a single, consistent metal section when installers drill mounting holes or trim rail ends to align with surrounding casework. The fixed 72 inch length gives a known segment length to measure against cabinet runs, so layout work can reference each 6 foot section when spacing supports. The hammered antique brass finish remains part of the rail during cutting, allowing field-length adjustments while maintaining the hammered brass appearance at exposed ends.
This rail is part of the Quiet Glide rolling library ladders product class, so it serves as a rail element in rolling library ladder assemblies where Quiet Glide hardware is used. The 72 inch length suits straight ladder runs that are laid out in 6 foot increments, allowing designers to map rail segments to shelving or cabinet spans using that dimension. The 1 inch diameter and solid aluminum construction position the rail as a core bar that supports the rolling action of ladder components along its length. The hammered antique brass finish color and texture align this rail with hammered antique brass projects, helping maintain a consistent brass-toned line wherever the rail remains visible above cabinets or shelving.
The 1 inch diameter is significant because it directly defines how the rolling ladder hardware engages the rail, so keeping that measurement consistent across each 72 inch rail helps maintain even ladder motion and reduces transitions between sections. Solid aluminum provides a uniform substrate, which supports clean cuts and drilled holes that match from one end of the rail to the other, supporting accurate alignment of brackets and end positions. The hammered antique brass finish, applied to the solid aluminum rail, means the visible surface carries the hammered brass appearance that many projects specify for design continuity. Because the hammered antique brass finish pattern may vary, each rail length presents its own hammered pattern, which can break up repetition visually along a longer wall of shelving while still reading as the same hammered antique brass finish.
This product is a 72 inch extension rail for a rolling library ladder in the Quiet Glide rolling library ladders class, so it functions as a rail section in that ladder system.
The rail length is 72 inches, giving a 6 foot span that can be used as a planning unit when laying out a rolling library ladder rail run along cabinets or shelving.
The rail diameter is 1 inch, which sets the round bar size that the rolling library ladder hardware is designed to roll on along the entire rail length.
The 72 inch rail is made from solid aluminum, providing a single, consistent metal body that supports uniform cutting, drilling, and mounting during installation.
The rail has a hammered antique brass finish, so the aluminum bar presents a hammered brass look that coordinates with hammered antique brass Quiet Glide ladder components.
The hammered antique brass finish pattern may vary, so the surface texture and pattern can differ slightly from rail to rail while still matching the hammered antique brass finish description.
The 72 inch extension rail for rolling library ladder from Quiet Glide provides a defined 6 foot length, 1 inch diameter, and solid aluminum construction in a hammered antique brass finish, supporting rolling library ladder projects built around Quiet Glide hammered antique brass components. For projects that rely on consistent rail geometry and a hammered antique brass visual line, this rail supplies the specified dimensions and finish across each 72 inch segment.
