This Rev-A-Shelf 5149 Series waste pullout installs a covered 35 quart bin behind a cabinet door, riding on soft-close, over-travel slides so the bin rolls fully clear of the cabinet for easy access and returns quietly without slamming.
A standard full-extension slide brings the bin to the cabinet face. Over-travel goes further, pushing the bin past the face so nothing blocks access from above. That extra travel matters in a narrow vanity or base cabinet where you would otherwise have to angle the bag out around the door frame. The bin lifts straight out, bag and all, because the carriage has already cleared the opening. The soft-close mechanism handles the return trip: pull the door and the carriage decelerates on its own instead of rattling to a stop at the back of the cabinet.
The carriage is finished in aluminum, a neutral hardware tone that disappears behind the door and pairs cleanly with the white 35 quart bin. The 5149 Series is built around a bottom-mount configuration: the slides attach to the cabinet floor and support the carriage from below, keeping the top of the bin fully open for loading without a rail in the way. At a 150 pound capacity, the carriage handles a loaded bin and any incidental weight without flexing. The door-mount bracket connects the carriage to the cabinet door so the whole unit travels in one motion when the door opens, and the bin stays aligned with the door rather than drifting inward.
The 12-1/8 inch width targets the narrower cabinets that show up most often in vanity runs and compact kitchen base cabinets, where a wider double-bin unit simply will not fit. Designers specifying a bathroom vanity with a dedicated waste compartment, cabinet shops building a narrow kitchen base, and homeowners retrofitting an existing cabinet will all find the footprint useful. The minimum cabinet opening is 12-1/4 inches wide, 18 inches deep, and 20 inches tall; a cabinet that clears those three numbers is a solid candidate. For a two-bin setup or a wider cabinet run, step up to a double-bin carriage from the same series.
The bin is included, but lids are sold separately. Rev-A-Shelf offers compatible lids for the 35 quart bin; order the lid alongside the carriage if a covered bin is needed.
Full-extension brings the bin to the cabinet face. Over-travel extends past the face so the bin clears the opening entirely, making it easier to lift a bag straight up without maneuvering around the door frame.
This SKU includes door-mount capability; confirm what hardware ships in the box against the packing list, and check whether your door thickness requires an extended bracket. Rev-A-Shelf door-mount brackets for the 5149 Series are available separately if needed.
The listed minimum opening dimensions apply to the interior clear opening. Measure the usable width, depth, and height of the cabinet interior, then compare to the 12-1/4 inch wide, 18 inch deep, and 20 inch tall minimums before ordering.
Choose this pullout to put a 35 quart bin behind a narrow cabinet door on over-travel slides that bring it fully into reach and return it without noise.
