Tafisa M2011 Stargazer Melamine MDF Core, 6.35mm x 49" x 97", Viva Finish 2-Sided

Tafisa 2011 Stargazer Melamine Sheet Details

Tafisa 2011 Stargazer melamine is a double-sided decorative panel that uses the color 2011 Stargazer on both faces, giving projects a consistent appearance on each side of the board. The melamine is manufactured in one step, so the decorative layers and core are pressed together in a single thermo-fusing process, which creates a unified panel for straightforward cutting and handling. Each sheet is specified at 1/4 inch thickness and 6.35 MDF, so it presents as a thin but substantial panel suited to builds that call for that profile. The board size is 49 x 97, offering a working format slightly larger than a 4 x 8 footprint to help lay out parts. Tafisa 2011 Stargazer melamine is part of the Tafisa board panel products class, positioning it in a known decorative melamine line from Tafisa Canada, Inc.

Key Tafisa Stargazer Melamine Working Advantages

• The Tafisa melamine is double sided with the color 2011 Stargazer, so both faces carry the same decorative look, which supports applications where both sides remain visible or may be exposed during use.
• The top and bottom impregnated decorative layers are pressed and thermo-fused to particle board or MDF, creating an integrated surface-core bond that helps the faces stay attached during sawing, routing, and handling.
• The Tafisa melamine board has a particle board or MDF core, so it is designed as a composite panel that can be processed using standard methods for these cores in cabinets, fixtures, and other casework.
• The sheet uses 6.35 MDF at 1/4 inch thickness, giving a defined thin profile that suits build-ups, backs, or decorative components where this dimension is required by the project design.
• The 49 x 97 panel size provides usable material slightly beyond nominal 4 x 8, which helps with part nesting and trimming while still fitting typical shop tooling setups.

Panel Format And Tafisa Melamine Handling

This Tafisa melamine board is categorized under board panel products in the melamine group, so it is intended to function as a sheet good within woodworking and casework fabrication. The core structure is identified as particle board or MDF, giving installers and fabricators a predictable substrate profile for edge treatment and machining. The one-step pressing and thermo-fusing process bonds the impregnated decorative layers directly to this core, which means the surface and core respond together when cut to size or machined. With a specified 1/4 inch thickness at 6.35 MDF, the panel fits layouts that call for a thinner sheet, aligning with builds where overall panel stack height is controlled.

Using Tafisa 2011 Stargazer Melamine In Projects

Where This Tafisa Melamine Panel Fits Best

This product is identified as Tafisa 2011 Stargazer melamine within the Tafisa product class, positioning it for projects that require this specific Tafisa decorative program. Because the melamine is double sided with the color 2011 Stargazer, it supports installations or fabrications where both faces of the panel may be seen, such as partitions, panels, or exposed cabinet backs. The 49 x 97 format gives enough sheet area to cut multiple smaller parts or larger continuous pieces from one board, which aids layout planning. With a 1/4 inch thickness on a particle board or MDF core, the panel integrates into assemblies that specify this exact thickness alongside other sheet goods.

Why One-Step Thermo-Fused Construction Matters

The web description states that Tafisa 2011 Stargazer melamine is manufactured in one step, with the top and bottom impregnated decorative layers pressed and thermo-fused to particle boar or MDF, and this single-step process creates a cohesive panel for consistent performance. By having both decorative layers thermo-fused directly to the core, the sheet presents a balanced construction that responds uniformly when ripped, crosscut, or profiled. The fact that it is a Tafisa melamine board with a particle board or MDF core gives fabricators a known working behavior that aligns with other Tafisa panel products in this class. The use of the 2011 Stargazer color on both faces simplifies matching within the same job, because offcuts from one sheet maintain the same design on either side.
