Peter Meier Inserts for 1131/1230FIX Routing Template, C1131TEMP

1131 Template Insert For Concealed 3-D Hinges

1131 Template Insert is an aluminum insert designed for use with 1030, 1130, 1230, and 1131 series concealed 3-D hinges. This dedicated insert works with the matching drill fixture, so hinge cup and hardware positions line up with the hinge series it supports. The aluminum construction gives the insert a stable profile in the drill fixture, which helps hold layout accuracy from panel to panel. Because it is tied directly to those specific 3-D hinge series, it helps match the hinge geometry, reducing layout trial-and-error when laying out new doors or frames. The insert is part of the Peter Meier, Inc. hinge installation tool line, giving installers and shops a purpose-built way to prepare workpieces for these concealed 3-D hinges.

Key Details That Support Accurate Hinge Layout

• The template insert is specified for 1030, 1130, 1230, and 1131 series concealed 3-D hinges, so its pattern aligns to those hinge families and keeps drilling consistent with the hinge design.
• Aluminum construction provides a rigid insert body inside the drill fixture, which supports repeatable placement when running multiple doors or frames in production.
• The insert is part of a drill fixture system that includes a frame, two inserts for routing fixtures, extension arms, and a nylon ring, so this component works within an organized layout process for those concealed hinge series.
• The manufacturer part number C1131TEMP clearly identifies this specific template insert, which helps separate it from other Peter Meier hinge installation tools when reordering or matching existing shop setups.

Template Insert Use With Drill Fixture Setup

This aluminum 1131 Template Insert works as one element of a drill fixture that includes a frame, two inserts for routing fixtures, extension arms, and a nylon ring, so it drops into a defined position in that system. Because the insert is made for 1030, 1130, 1230, and 1131 series concealed 3-D hinges, it supports fixture setups that follow those hinge layouts without custom measuring every time. The hinge installation tool classification signals that this insert is intended for layout, drilling, or routing tasks around those hinges, fitting directly into shop and jobsite workflows centered on concealed 3-D hardware.

Using This Template Insert In Cabinet Workflows

Where This Template Insert Fits Hinge Work

This 1131 Template Insert is designed for use with 1030, 1130, 1230, and 1131 series concealed 3-D hinges, so it fits cabinet and casework projects that specify those hinge series. In practice, that means the insert is used wherever those concealed 3-D hinges are part of the hardware schedule, from shop-built cabinetry to on-site panel replacement. Being part of a drill fixture that includes a frame, two inserts for routing fixtures, extension arms, and a nylon ring, the insert works inside a guided system rather than as a loose layout tool, which suits repetitive drilling on door runs. As a hinge installation tool in the Hinges | Hinge Accessories category, it supports layout work around the hinge zone rather than general-purpose drilling tasks.

Because the insert is aluminum, it provides a stable bearing surface in the drill fixture while installers position doors or frames, which helps maintain hinge cup alignment over many repetitions. The defined relationship between the insert and the supported 1030, 1130, 1230, and 1131 series concealed 3-D hinges means hinge locations are driven by the fixture geometry, supporting predictable swing and reveal setup tied to those hinge families. The manufacturer identification Peter Meier, Inc. and part number C1131TEMP distinguish this insert from other hinge tools, which matters when matching it to existing drill fixtures set up for these concealed hinge series in a shop environment.

Why These Fixture Details Support Repeatable Results

The fact that this insert is dedicated to 1030, 1130, 1230, and 1131 series concealed 3-D hinges means every drilling position is based on the intended hinge design, which supports consistent gap and overlay patterns when using that hardware. By working inside a drill fixture that includes a frame, two inserts for routing fixtures, extension arms, and a nylon ring, the insert contributes to a structured, repeatable process that can be applied door after door. The aluminum material helps the insert keep its shape under normal use in a shop or on a bench, so fixture references stay reliable over time.

Positioning this product as a hinge installation tool in the Hinges | Hinge Accessories class highlights its role alongside the hinges rather than as a generic jig, which matters when building or maintaining a system around concealed 3-D hinges. The precise naming 1131 Template Insert and part number C1131TEMP allows installers, buyers, and shops to align their drill fixtures to the correct hinge series without confusion, supporting both new setups and continuation of established workflows where the Peter Meier, Inc. system is already in service.
