This Top Knobs Chareau series pull is a D-profile cabinet pull that mounts on 7-1/2 inch (191 mm) centers, sized for wide drawer banks, full-height pantry doors, and other cabinetry where a shorter pull would look undersized against the front.
At 7-1/2 inches between centers, this pull occupies a scale that a shorter bar pull cannot. On a wide base drawer — a 30 or 36 inch pot-and-pan drawer, for instance — a 3 or 4 inch pull looks like an afterthought, and a 5 inch pull still reads as undersized. A pull at this spacing holds visual proportion against the full width of the front and gives the hand enough grip length to open a heavy drawer in a single pull. The D-profile form adds to that: the arched return at each end wraps back toward the door face, so the grip feels enclosed rather than perched on two posts. That same enclosure makes it a natural fit for tall pantry doors and appliance-height fronts where a bar pull can feel spindly.
The pull is cast in zinc and finished in Polished Chrome. On a D-pull the finish runs across a curved surface rather than a flat one, so the polish catches light from multiple angles along the arch — the grip reads as a continuous bright curve rather than a single lit edge. Polished Chrome is the fixture-neutral finish: it coordinates with chrome faucets, stainless appliance hardware, and chrome light fixtures without introducing a competing metal. The tradeoff of a polished surface is that it shows contact marks more readily than a brushed finish does, and wipes clean just as readily.
This is a practical choice for traditional and transitional kitchens where at least some of the cabinetry runs wide — deep drawer stacks, full-height pantries, or furniture-scale island fronts. Cabinet shops fitting out a full kitchen will often spec a pull at this center-to-center alongside a smaller pull or knob from the same Chareau collection: the longer pull on drawers and large doors, the shorter hardware on upper cabinets, all in the same series and finish. Designers working on a kitchen where the chrome fixtures are already committed will find this coordinates without negotiation. For renovation work where the existing holes are drilled to 7-1/2 inch spacing, this is a direct swap with no new drilling required.
The 8-5/16 inch overall length includes the full span of the pull from end to end. The 7-1/2 inch center-to-center is the distance between the two mounting holes, which is the number to match when replacing existing hardware or drilling new holes.
The pull projects 1-7/8 inches (48 mm) from the face of the door or drawer front to the back of the grip, which is enough room to fit a hand comfortably behind the bar.
Yes. The Chareau collection includes companion pulls at other center-to-center spacings and matching knobs in the same design language and Polished Chrome finish, so a full kitchen can be fitted from one series.
The zinc base is finished in Polished Chrome for a hard, bright surface. Like any polished finish it will show fingerprints and smudges in daily use and cleans with a damp cloth.
When the cabinetry runs wide and the fixtures are already chrome, this pull resolves both the proportion problem and the finish coordination in one piece.
