This Karran undermount sink is a 60/40 double-bowl kitchen sink in a matte black quartz composite finish, designed to mount beneath granite, quartz, or solid surface countertops in a 36-inch or wider base cabinet.
The 60/40 split gives this sink a large primary bowl and a noticeably smaller secondary bowl rather than two equal halves. That asymmetry is useful: the larger side has the room to hold a full stockpot, a sheet pan, or a colander of produce, while the smaller side stays available for rinsing, draining, or staging dishes. In a working kitchen where the sink earns its keep, the division keeps tasks from piling on top of each other. The larger left bowl measures 17-1/8 inches long by 19 inches wide and 9 inches deep, and the smaller right bowl is 11-1/2 inches long by 16-3/4 inches wide and 9 inches deep.
The sink body is quartz composite, an engineered material that blends natural quartz with acrylic resin to produce a dense, heavy sink with a non-porous matte surface. Matte Black is a particularly practical finish choice for quartz: water spots and light scratches that read clearly on polished surfaces disappear into the matte texture. The color runs through the material, so minor surface wear does not expose a different layer underneath. The undermount installation tucks the sink rim below the countertop, so the black bowl becomes a visual anchor in the counter surface rather than a visible frame sitting on top of it.
This is the right sink for a kitchen remodel or new build where the countertop is granite, quartz, or solid surface and the design calls for a black fixture. Designers specifying a two-toned kitchen with light countertops and dark accents will find the Matte Black finish pulls the hardware, fixtures, and faucet together. Cabinet shops and contractors building out kitchens with dark or dramatic countertop slabs can use it to keep the palette consistent. It requires a minimum 36-inch base cabinet, so it fits the standard kitchen run without special framing. Because this is an undermount sink, it is planned into a new countertop fabrication rather than dropped into an existing cutout.
The left bowl is the larger of the two, at 17-1/8 inches long by 19 inches wide and 9 inches deep. The right bowl is 11-1/2 inches long by 16-3/4 inches wide and 9 inches deep.
This is an undermount sink designed for new countertop installations. It is not intended to drop into an existing countertop with an existing cutout, so plan it into a new or replacement fabrication.
It is cUPC and IAPMO certified, meeting North American plumbing code standards.
It is designed to undermount into granite, quartz, and solid surface countertops.
Choose this sink when the kitchen calls for a Matte Black double-bowl undermount that handles real prep volume, fits a standard 36-inch cabinet run, and arrives certified and ready to set into the counter.
