This is a complete 22-inch Blum LEGRABOX drawer system in K height (5-1/16 inch / 128.5mm) and Orion Gray Matte finish, designed for kitchen and casework applications where the interior of the drawer is as intentional as the front. It delivers full-extension travel with integrated BLUMOTION soft-close and a 125 lb static load capacity per pair, all in a double-walled steel side profile finished in Orion Gray Matte.
The K height occupies useful middle ground in the LEGRABOX height range. At 5-1/16 inches, the side profiles suit cutlery drawers, wide utensil drawers, and shallow pantry pulls where a taller F-height box would look out of proportion and a low M-height profile would leave the drawer feeling cramped. In a kitchen with stacked drawer banks, the K height is often the workhorse tier — deep enough to organize but not so tall that it eats cabinet depth. The 22-inch nominal length makes it a natural match for standard base cabinets with 22- to 24-inch box depths.
The Orion Gray Matte finish does more than coordinate with dark or charcoal kitchen palettes. It is the same finish used across the AMBIA-LINE interior organization program, so when you add an AMBIA-LINE flatware insert, cross dividers, or spice tray to this box, they read as one integrated interior rather than an aftermarket addition. For designers specifying handleless kitchens or open-front drawers where the interior is visible, that finish continuity matters. Orion Gray Matte also holds up better visually against fingerprints and minor scuffs than a high-gloss surface, which keeps the inside of heavily used kitchen drawers looking finished over time.
Cabinet shops running LEGRABOX as a standard platform will find this K height pulls in well alongside M and F height orders. The 125 lb capacity covers the load demands of most kitchen drawer applications without requiring an upgrade to the heavy-duty series. Designers specifying for kitchens with an integrated or monochromatic look use the Orion Gray Matte to carry the palette from the box interior outward. Homeowners renovating a kitchen and replacing an existing Blum drawer system can use this as a direct upgrade, provided the cabinet box depth suits the 22-inch nominal length and the Blum cutting dimensions are followed for the bottom and back.
The LEGRABOX set includes the double-walled steel side profiles, integrated runners with BLUMOTION, and front fixing brackets. You build and supply the drawer front, the bottom panel, and the back panel to Blum's published cutting dimensions for this nominal length and height. Do not substitute dimensions from another system; LEGRABOX boxes are built to spec.
Yes. AMBIA-LINE is Blum's interior organization line for LEGRABOX drawers. Inserts in Orion Gray Matte are designed to match this box's finish exactly. Confirm the AMBIA-LINE components you choose are sized for a K height and 22-inch nominal length.
Soft-close. The BLUMOTION damper in the runner slows the drawer to a silent, controlled stop — it is a damped close, not a spring-loaded self-close ramp.
Push-to-open on LEGRABOX requires the TIP-ON BLUMOTION combined unit, which integrates the ejector and the damped close in one mechanism. Plain mechanical TIP-ON conflicts with the BLUMOTION damper; order the combined unit if you need both functions on a handle-less front.
The standard LEGRABOX series is rated at 125 lb static per pair, which handles the load demands of nearly all kitchen drawers. The heavy-duty series steps up to 170 lb static. For most kitchen and bath applications, the standard series is the right call.
The 22-inch LEGRABOX K height in Orion Gray Matte brings a finished, coordinated interior to the drawer boxes that see the most daily use. Full extension, BLUMOTION soft-close, and a 125 lb capacity handle the load; the finish handles the design. Build the box to Blum's cutting dimensions and the interior stays cohesive every time the drawer opens.
