This 26 inch LEGRABOX M height drawer system brings Blum's full-extension, BLUMOTION soft-close platform to cabinets where the stainless steel finish does the work that paint and lacquer cannot. The steel side profiles stand 3-9/16 inches (90.5mm) tall, carry a 170 lb static rating, and move on full-extension runners with integrated BLUMOTION damping — a complete engineered system in one unit.
The stainless steel finish is the right choice when the drawer interior will be seen and used hard. In a professional-style kitchen, an open-shelf island, or a bath vanity where the drawer sits at eye level and takes daily contact, the polished steel surface reads as intentional and holds its look longer than a painted alternative. It also cleans easily without concern for finish lift or scuffing — a practical advantage in any drawer that stores cooking tools, cleaning supplies, or workshop hardware. The LEGRABOX system's double-walled steel side profiles give the stainless finish a solid substrate, so the surface stays true rather than flexing or dimpling under load.
LEGRABOX sides are formed double-walled steel — not a wrapper over a plastic core — which is what makes the 170 lb capacity credible at this side height. The full-extension runners are engineered into the platform, not added on, so the extension geometry and the BLUMOTION damper are calibrated together. When the drawer closes, the damper engages before the last inch of travel and settles the load silently, whether the drawer holds a single tray or a full pot-and-pan stack. The drawer front attaches via the system's front fixing brackets, which carry height, side, and tilt adjustment after installation — alignment stays correctable without pulling the box.
Cabinet shops specifying for a high-end kitchen renovation will find the stainless finish coordinates with stainless appliances and hardware without requiring a color decision. Designers working on open-plan spaces where drawer interiors are intermittently visible get a side profile that reads as a finish element, not just structure. Contractors running production installs appreciate that LEGRABOX components — front fixings, cover caps, and AMBIA-LINE inserts — pull from a single engineered platform rather than mixing systems. Homeowners doing a single-kitchen build get a drawer system that won't need refinishing or replacement on a residential use cycle.
Both. Stainless steel resists the fine scratching and finish lift that accumulate on painted or powder-coated sides in daily use, and it holds up in damp environments better than most coated finishes. It is still an indoor finish; this system is designed for cabinetry, not exterior or food-service equipment applications.
The 170 lb rating is the static weight capacity for the complete system as installed — one drawer with both sides and runners working together. That is the load figure to check against your heaviest drawer contents.
Yes. LEGRABOX M height is the platform AMBIA-LINE interior organization components are designed for. Cutlery inserts, utensil trays, cross dividers, and other AMBIA-LINE parts sized for M height drop directly into this system.
Front fixing brackets are system-specific and typically sold separately from the runner set. Choose the bracket set matched to LEGRABOX M height and your front thickness to get the full adjustment range after installation.
The LEGRABOX platform is consistent across finishes — full-extension runners, BLUMOTION damping, and M height geometry are identical. Mixing finishes across drawers in one cabinet is a design choice, not a mechanical incompatibility.
The stainless steel LEGRABOX M height system gives cabinet makers and designers a finish that works as hard as the mechanism behind it — full extension, BLUMOTION soft-close, and 170 lb capacity, in a surface that ages well and stays looking intentional through daily use.
