The GSlide GS2070 Plastic Rear Bracket is a dowel-mount rear support made specifically for GS2070 series drawer slides installed in face-frame cabinets. It anchors the back end of the slide to the cabinet interior, giving the slide the rear support it needs where the cabinet side is recessed behind the face frame.
Face-frame cabinets set the cabinet side back from the front opening, which means the rear end of a drawer slide hangs unsupported unless a bracket carries it. This bracket solves that problem for GS2070 slides: it closes the gap between the slide's rear end and the back panel, keeping the slide level and aligned across the full length of travel. Without it, a GS2070 slide in a face-frame cabinet would lack rear support and the drawer would sag or rack over time. If the cabinets on the job are frameless, the slide mounts directly to the side panel and this bracket is not required.
The bracket is molded from plastic, which keeps it light and immune to the moisture and humidity common inside a closed cabinet. The dowel-mount design presses into a bored hole in the cabinet back or rear rail, seating quickly and holding position without screws at the mounting point.
