This Century Components Signature Pro hardware kit brings independent rotation to a pie cut base-cabinet lazy Susan, letting each shelf spin on its own so one shelf can stay put while the other turns to bring items forward.
A standard dependent lazy Susan moves both shelves together in one locked rotation. That works fine until the front shelf blocks access to the back one, or you overshoot and have to spin back around. Independent rotation breaks that link: each shelf turns on its own axis, so you can hold one shelf still while the other comes around to meet you. In a loaded corner base cabinet where jars, cans, and bottles are stacked on both levels, the difference shows up every time the cabinet is opened. The pie cut shape matches the geometry of a standard corner base opening, where the cabinet door cuts away one side of the opening, and the shelves are trimmed to fit through that shape rather than catching on the door stile.
The assembly is metal, built to carry the everyday load of a base cabinet corner unit. The hardware height of 13-1/2 inches positions the shelf set for a standard base cabinet interior, sitting on the cabinet floor. This SKU is the hardware only, the mechanical assembly that provides the pivot, the shelf supports, and the independent motion mechanism. It is designed for the Signature Pro series and sized for a pie cut configuration with two shelves.
Specify this kit when a corner base cabinet already has or will have pie cut shelves and the goal is independent shelf movement rather than dependent rotation. Cabinet shops building custom corner units and remodelers retrofitting existing corner cabinets are the natural fit. If the cabinet uses full-circle shelves instead of pie cut, or if only dependent rotation is needed, a different SKU in this series covers those configurations. Two shelves at 13-1/2 inches of hardware height suits the typical single-door corner base cabinet. Taller cabinet interiors or three-shelf requirements should reference the appropriate variant in this family.
With dependent rotation, both shelves are locked together and spin as one unit. With independent rotation, each shelf turns on its own, so you can spin the top shelf without moving the bottom one, or bring either shelf forward without dragging the other.
No. This is hardware only, the mechanical base assembly. Pie cut shelves are sold separately and need to match the Signature Pro series and the cabinet opening dimensions.
No. This hardware mounts to the cabinet floor and does not require attachment to the cabinet door.
No. This hardware is configured for a pie cut shelf shape. A full-circle application requires the corresponding full-circle hardware in this series.
Choose this Signature Pro base hardware when the build calls for independently rotating pie cut shelves in a corner base cabinet, and both shelves need to move on their own terms.
