Amerock Mergence 6-5/16 inch pull defines this piece as a cabinet handle designed for doors and drawers where a 6-5/16 inch, or 160mm, center-to-center layout is already set, so it drops into existing drilling without layout changes. The Amerock BP36860FBPN designation ties it directly to Amerock Corporation's catalog, which helps match this pull to other Amerock hardware on the same project. A Matte Black/Polished Nickel finish gives the pull its split, high-contrast appearance, so it reads as a mid-century modern detail on face frames or full-overlay fronts. The Mergence collection focus on a split-finish, assembled design means this pull visually blends matte black with mirrorlike nickel, helping tie together dark fronts and brighter metal elements on the same run of cabinets.
The specified 6-5/16 inch (160mm) center-to-center measurement defines the screw hole spacing, so cabinet faces drilled to that pattern will accept this pull without plugging or redrilling. That spacing is common on wider drawers and doors, so it works well across banks of base and tall cabinets using the same layout. By describing the pull as a center-to-center design, Amerock signals that the working dimension is measured between mounting points rather than overall length, which keeps hardware schedules clear when mixing sizes in a room.
The Amerock Mergence series 6-5/16 inch (160mm) center-to-center pull is intended for cabinet applications where a handle spans between two fixed mounting points, so it suits both new casework and updates to existing doors and drawers laid out on that spread. Its role within decorative hardware and moldings, specifically handles and pulls, places it on the working faces of kitchen, bath, or storage cabinets rather than inside the case, so every installation becomes part of the visible design. The Matte Black/Polished Nickel split finish allows the pull to sit comfortably between dark painted or stained wood and brighter fixtures, so it helps visually connect appliances, faucets, and lighting that already use polished nickel tones.
As part of the Amerock Mergence collection, this pull ties into a broader mid-century modern aesthetic, so it fits projects where clean lines and simple forms are preferred over decorative profiles. The high-contrast finish gives each pull a clear edge against surrounding materials, so installers can read alignment by eye when running multiple pulls along a rail or stile. Because Amerock positions the Mergence collection as adding a touch of mid-century modern flair, this specific pull works well when other project elements reference that era, such as flat-panel doors or slim toe-kick details.
The defined 6-5/16 inch (160mm) center-to-center dimension gives installers a fixed layout reference, so jigs or templates can be set once and used repeatedly across a run of fronts without recalculating spacing. Using a consistent dimension like this also simplifies coordination with shop drawings, because the cabinet pull is specified by its workable center spacing instead of ambiguous overall measurements. The Matte Black/Polished Nickel finish, described as an alluring, high-contrast split finish, provides a clear visual transition along the length of the pull, so each handle reads the same way when aligned horizontally or vertically.
The Amerock BP36860FBPN identifier supports repeatable results over time, because specifiers can call out that exact part when matching existing installations or planning phased upgrades. Being within Amerock's decorative cabinet hardware category connects this pull to Amerock's wider family of home solutions, so designers can select companion hardware, such as other handles and pulls, that follow the same design direction. Founded in 1928, Amerock's long presence in decorative and functional cabinet hardware signals that this pull follows the same style-focused approach used across their cabinet hardware, bath accessories, decorative hooks, and wall plates, helping maintain a consistent look throughout a project.
