The Salice F70 is a 24 inch full-extension undermount drawer slide with a mechanical push-to-open mechanism, built for frameless cabinet construction and rated 170 lb per pair. It mounts completely beneath the drawer box, keeping the cabinet interior hardware-free, and opens with a light press on the front rather than a pull or knob.
The F70 push-to-open is the right call when the design calls for a clean front with no visible hardware — think modern slab doors, high-gloss lacquered fronts, or any layout where a pull would interrupt the surface. At 24 inches, it covers the deeper drawers common in base cabinets built for pots and pans, deep utensil storage, or file pull-outs. The 170 lb per pair capacity means it handles real working loads without stepping up to a specialty heavy-duty slide program. Because this is the frameless version, it mounts directly to the cabinet side panel on the standard bore pattern, keeping the install straightforward in production frameless work.
This model uses mechanical push-to-open: press the front, the mechanism ejects the drawer, and it rides out on the full-extension runners. Closing is manual — the drawer does not have a damped soft-close on this version. If a silent, controlled close is the priority for the application, choose a soft-close model from the F70 line instead. The two motion behaviors are separate models; this one is optimized for the clean touch-release experience on a handle-less front, not for damped closing. For installations where both push-to-open and soft-close are needed, confirm with a combined-system model before ordering.
This slide is engineered for drawer sides between 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch (12.7mm to 16mm) thick. The drawer box must be built to Salice's published specification for the F70 series — nominal 24 inch length, correct box width for the series clearance, bottom recess, rear notch, and drilling for the Salice fixing clips. Salice fixing clips are series-specific and do not interchange with other brands or other Salice lines. The front gap between the drawer face and the cabinet opening must be maintained to give the push-to-open mechanism room to travel; a front that is too tight against the opening defeats the trigger. Order one pair per drawer.
Per pair — that is how undermount slide ratings are stated throughout this category. Two slides running one drawer, rated together at 170 lb.
No. This is the push-to-open model; it closes without a damper. If damped closing matters for the install, select the soft-close version of the F70 instead. Push-to-open and soft-close are separate models in this line, not combined features on this SKU.
This is the frameless version and is not designed for face-frame mounting. A face-frame installation requires the face-frame variant of the line, which uses rear mounting brackets to support the slide behind the frame.
Confirm at ordering whether Salice F70 fixing clips are included with this SKU or sold separately — they are series-specific and cannot be substituted with clips from other undermount brands or lines.
The F70 is built for drawer sides from 1/2 inch to 5/8 inch (12.7mm to 16mm). For 3/4 inch sides, a different version of the line is required — the two thickness classes are not interchangeable.
When the front is the finish and hardware would interrupt it, the F70 push-to-open delivers full access and a 170 lb capacity behind a clean, touch-activated facade — all concealed beneath the drawer box where it belongs.
