A pilaster system replaces fixed shelf supports with a slotted track that lets shelves move up or down as storage needs change. Mounted to the interior walls of a base or wall cabinet, these strips create a grid of pin positions so a shelf can be raised for tall pantry goods one week and lowered to fit stacked cans the next. That repositionability is the practical payoff: the cabinet adapts to what is stored rather than forcing contents to fit fixed heights.
The pilasters are natural maple, which means they read as part of the cabinet interior rather than as an industrial hardware addition.
