This Omega National M46 Series L-moulding provides the stemware-suspension rail that turns a standard wall cabinet into an inverted glass storage bay, supplied in cherry wood ready for staining or finishing to match the surrounding cabinetry.
Hanging glasses inverted from a cabinet rail keeps them dust-free, protects the bowls from contact scratches, and frees up shelf space for bottles and barware. The L-profile of this moulding is the structural part of that system: the lip catches the foot of each glass and holds it suspended from the underside of the cabinet shelf or from a dedicated rail strip installed inside the cabinet opening. A 62-inch strip handles a wide single cabinet or can be crosscut to fill two narrower bays from the same box.
Cherry is a fine-grained domestic hardwood with a naturally warm, reddish-brown tone that deepens over time with light exposure. It takes stain with good consistency and finishes smoothly, which makes it the practical choice when the rest of the cabinet interior is cherry or when a warm wood tone is part of the design. Because the moulding ships unfinished, the finish applied to it can be matched precisely to the cabinet box, door interior, or surrounding trim rather than working around a factory color. Apply the same prep, stain, and topcoat used on the adjacent woodwork before installation for the most integrated result.
This moulding suits custom cabinet shops building or retrofitting a bar cabinet, a dining room hutch, or a kitchen cabinet wine station where cherry is already in use. Designers specifying a built-in stemware display for a residential project will find the unfinished surface gives finishing flexibility that a prefinished strip cannot. The box-of-four format makes it practical for shops that are outfitting more than one cabinet run in a single project, cutting strips to length from a common supply rather than ordering per opening.
Yes. At 62 inches per strip, each piece can be crosscut to fit a narrower cabinet opening. With four strips per box, a single order often covers multiple bays in the same cabinet run.
This is the moulding strip only. It is the L-profile rail that supports the glasses. Any additional mounting hardware or companion components for a complete installation are determined by the cabinet configuration and are not included in this box.
Cherry is consistent enough across cabinet-grade components that the same stain and topcoat sequence used on doors and face frames will produce a closely matched result on this moulding. Test on a scrap piece first, as with any new wood lot.
When the cabinet is cherry and the finish needs to match, this L-moulding gives the installer a ready-to-finish stemware rail in the correct species, supplied in quantity for a full project run.
