Pie cut corner cabinets present one of the harder door-hanging problems in a frameless kitchen run: the door panel is cut on an angle to match the cabinet's pie cut shape, and it needs to swing 170 degrees to clear the cabinet opening without blocking access to the interior. A standard hinge arm cannot manage that geometry. This hinge is designed specifically for it. The 170 degree swing takes the door to near-flat, pulling it well out of the way so a cook or installer can reach into the back of the cabinet without the door catching. A separate Grass base plate for the cabinet side is required and sold separately. Match the plate to the Nexis series and your cabinet construction for the correct engagement.
The hinge body is steel with a nickel finish. At a corner position the hinge is less visible than one on a standard run door, but the nickel finish keeps it consistent with other Nexis hardware in the cabinet. Soft-close dampers are not compatible with the widest opening angles. At 170 degrees, this hinge uses a self-close spring instead. For corner applications where soft-close is a priority, a narrower-angle corner hinge is the path to that feature.
It is the center-to-center spacing of the two mounting holes beside the cup on the door side. Grass Nexis uses a 48mm pattern rather than the 45mm spacing common to other brands. If you are replacing an existing hinge, confirm the boring pattern in the door before ordering.
