Capella dull chrome pull out valet rod describes a sliding valet rod with a dull chrome finish that provides a functional hanging point while keeping glare down in bright closet lighting, which supports a clean, low-reflection look in finished installations. The product name identifies it as a pull out valet rod, so it offers a temporary extension point for hanging garments or parts during staging, helping keep workflow organized at the cabinet face. The description states an 8.5 inch pull out valet rod, which means the rod projects outward when deployed, creating usable hanging reach in front of the closet system for loading and unloading. The Capella Hardware brand ties this rod into the Capella Hardware line, letting installers match visual details across a closet project. Its valet rod classification places it squarely in closet organization applications where temporary, accessible hanging points are needed.
The product name specifies side mount, so this valet rod attaches to the side of a closet panel or cabinet wall, which supports straightforward installation along vertical dividers without interfering with horizontal shelving layouts. The outside mount designation in the web description shows that the body sits on the outside face of the panel, allowing installers to read its position visually instead of working inside a cavity. The 1-3/4 inch W dimension in the product name defines the transverse space the assembly occupies, letting designers allocate exact room between adjacent organizers. Because the product is categorized under shelf, closet and garage organization, it is suited to storage layouts in those environments where a pull out hanging point complements fixed shelves.
The category listing of shelf, closet and garage organization positions this Capella Hardware valet rod for use in closet systems and similar storage layouts where hanging space works alongside shelving. Its valet rods product class identifies its role specifically as a pull out hanging extension rather than a fixed rod, so it serves for temporary garment or item staging at the cabinet front. The outside mount note in the web description points to installation on the exposed side of a panel, which lets the hardware function cleanly in reach-in closets, wardrobe cabinets, or garage storage frames where the rod needs to clear the front edge. The 8.5 inch valet rod length provides a predictable projection, helping installers plan locations near doors or adjacent units so the rod can extend into usable space without interfering with nearby components.
The product name Capella dull chrome pull out valet rod specifies a dull chrome finish, giving a subdued metallic look that coordinates with other dull chrome closet hardware for consistent visual results across a project. Its 1-3/4 inch W measurement defines the lateral footprint, so repeated installations can maintain the same spacing from partition edges or between multiple rods in a bank. The manufacturer part number PS-280-DC uniquely identifies this exact configuration, which reduces ordering mistakes when matching previously installed units or expanding an existing Capella Hardware layout. The outside mount and side mount descriptors work together to show that the unit attaches visibly on the panel side, helping installers replicate the same mounting pattern from cabinet to cabinet. Its placement under valet rods in the product class keeps its purpose clear during design and specification, supporting accurate drawings and clearer communication with the shop and field crews.
The Capella Hardware PS-280-DC is a pull out valet rod, so it functions as a sliding hanging point that extends for use and retracts when finished, supporting temporary garment staging in closet or storage projects.
The SAP description states an 8.5 inch valet rod, meaning the pull out section provides about 8.5 inches of extension, which helps plan front clearance for hanging items in front of the cabinet or panel.
The product name identifies it as side mount and the web description notes outside mount, so the valet rod fastens to the side of a panel on its outside face for direct, visible placement.
The 1-3/4 inch W in the product name indicates the valet rod assembly occupies roughly that width on the mounting surface, helping plan spacing between partitions or adjacent organizers.
The category lists shelf, closet and garage organization and the product class lists valet rods, so it is suited to closets and storage systems needing a pull out hanging point near the cabinet front.
The product name describes a dull chrome pull out valet rod, so the hardware surface has a dull chrome finish that coordinates with other dull chrome components in the same project.
The Capella dull chrome pull out valet rod combines side mount, outside mount installation with an 8.5 inch extension length, giving designers and installers clear parameters for closet and storage layouts. Its 1-3/4 inch W footprint helps allocate space alongside shelves and partitions, while the dull chrome finish allows visual alignment with other Capella Hardware components. For projects that call for a defined, retractable hanging point within shelf, closet and garage organization plans, choose the Capella Hardware PS-280-DC to match these known dimensions and mounting characteristics.
