This VMI T-shaped liner is the metal insert that bridges a 36-inch wood hood shell and a compatible Air-Pro ventilator, providing the housing that seats the ventilation unit securely inside the decorative enclosure.
A wood range hood is assembled from three distinct parts: the decorative shell on the outside, the liner inside it, and the ventilator that actually moves the air. This liner occupies the middle position. It fits inside the wood shell and provides the structural housing that a compatible Air-Pro ventilator mounts into, so all three components work together as one finished hood. Without the liner seated correctly, the ventilator has no proper housing, and the shell has no internal structure to accept it.
The T-shape profile is designed for the specific internal geometry of a 36-inch wood hood, so the liner sits flush rather than requiring modifications to the shell. The hole opening accepts the ventilator and positions it at the correct depth for the ductwork connection above.
Biscuit is a warm off-white tone, and it is visible inside the hood opening once the ventilator is seated. In a kitchen with cream, ivory, or off-white cabinetry, the Biscuit liner finish reads as part of the overall design rather than introducing a contrasting tone at the hood interior. Kitchens that pair white appliances or lightly toned cabinetry with a wood hood shell will find this finish the most cohesive choice at the interior of the installation. The liner itself is not the decorative face of the hood; that role belongs to the wood shell. But the finish remains visible at the ventilator opening, so matching it to the surrounding palette matters.
Cabinet shops and designers specifying a complete wood hood installation select the liner alongside the shell and the ventilator as a coordinated set. Because the liner is model-specific to the Air-Pro 011, 01A, 021, 02A, and 04 series, it is chosen at the same time as the ventilator, not as an afterthought. Homeowners replacing an existing liner in a hood that already uses one of those Air-Pro models will find this a direct replacement, provided the shell is a 36-inch T-shape configuration. Contractors sourcing components for a new kitchen build will want to confirm the shell width and the ventilator model before adding this liner to the order.
No. This is the liner only. The Air-Pro ventilator that moves the air is a separate purchase, selected from the 011, 01A, 021, 02A, or 04 models to suit your cooktop and ducting setup.
No. This is the metal liner that fits inside the wood shell. The decorative wood hood enclosure is a separate product, ordered to match the kitchen's species and style.
The liner is visible at the ventilator opening inside the hood. In kitchens with cream or off-white cabinetry, Biscuit blends with the surrounding tones better than a contrasting metallic or stark white finish would.
The liner is 35-3/4 inches wide, 17-3/4 inches deep, and 4 inches tall, with a 17-1/2 by 32-3/4 inch ventilator hole opening.
For a 36-inch T-shape wood hood paired with an Air-Pro ventilator and a cream or off-white kitchen palette, this liner completes the installation with a finish that holds the interior together visually.
