Tafisa M2007 Casting At First Light Melamine MDF Core, 6.35mm x 49" x 97", Viva Finish 2-Sided

Tafisa Melamine Panel For Decorative Work

Tafisa 2007 Casting at First Light melamine describes a decorative melamine panel where the top and bottom impregnated decorative layers are pressed and thermo-fused to an MDF or particle board core. This construction creates a rigid sheet suited to woodworking jobs that call for a stable panel with a finished face on both sides. The board is double sided with the color 2007 Casting at First Light, so both faces present the same visual appearance for projects where both sides remain visible. The panel has a 1/4 inch thickness on a 6.35 MDF core size, matching common thin-panel needs. The 49 x 97 overall panel dimension gives coverage close to a 4 x 8 format, useful when laying out cabinet parts or case components from a single sheet. The Tafisa brand and Tafisa product class tie the decor and panel line together for consistent material choice.

Key Tafisa Melamine Details For Projects

• The Tafisa 2007 Casting at First Light melamine color on both faces provides a uniform decorative appearance, helping align visual design across cabinets, panels, and finished pieces that need matching surfaces.
• The double sided melamine construction means both the top and bottom decorative layers are thermo-fused, giving a finished look on each face so panels can be oriented either way in applications where both sides are exposed.
• The 6.35 MDF core noted in the description matches the 1/4 inch thickness, supporting uses where a thin yet stable substrate is required, such as cabinet backs, drawer bottoms, or light partition elements in woodworking projects.
• The 49 x 97 panel size provides a broad cutting area that closely follows a standard 4 x 8 layout, allowing efficient nesting of parts and reducing waste when dimensioning components from a single sheet.
• The BSLA200043 manufacturer part number identifies this exact Tafisa melamine panel configuration, which is useful when reordering material or coordinating specific decor and core details across multiple jobs.

Panel Format, Core, And Working Fit

This Tafisa melamine board sits in the Board Panel Products|Melamine category, indicating it is intended as a sheet good for woodworking and related fabrication. The melamine is manufactured in one step where the decorative layers are pressed and thermo-fused to particle board or MDF, so the decorative surface is bonded directly to the core. The product description notes a particle board or MDF core, with this particular item listing a 6.35 MDF dimension at 1/4 inch thickness, giving a thin panel profile. With full sheet dimensions of 49 x 97, the panel aligns well to layouts that typically expect a 4 x 8 class sheet, supporting straightforward cutting patterns on panel saws or CNC equipment. The Tafisa designation and specific decor name support consistent matching with other Tafisa materials in the same color.

Where Tafisa 2007 Melamine Panels Fit

This Tafisa melamine board is categorized under Board Panel Products|Melamine, positioning it for woodworking and related panel-based construction. The core is identified as particle board or MDF, and this item is described with a 6.35 MDF reference at 1/4 inch thickness, placing it in a thin-panel class often chosen for cabinet backs, drawer bottoms, and non-structural partitions. Because the panel is double sided with the color 2007 Casting at First Light, both faces show the same decorative surface, which suits applications like room dividers, end panels, or cabinet interiors where both sides remain visible. The 49 x 97 format supports layouts that follow a near 4 x 8 footprint, so fabricators can plan cut lists around common sheet dimensions.

Details That Support Consistent Fabrication Results

The melamine is manufactured in one step with the top and bottom impregnated decorative layers pressed and thermo-fused to the MDF or particle board core, which ties the decorative surface directly to the substrate for a unified panel during cutting and machining. Having decorative layers on both faces means the board can be oriented in either direction without changing the visible decor, which helps simplify panel orientation during production. The 1/4 inch thickness with a 6.35 MDF notation provides a predictable panel thickness when setting up saw fences, edge referencing, or groove depths in cabinets and casework. The 49 x 97 sheet dimension supplies a consistent starting size, which aids in developing repeatable cutting patterns and yield calculations across similar jobs. The Tafisa 2007 Casting at First Light designation, along with the BSLA200043 manufacturer part number, gives a clear reference when matching decor and core construction between this sheet and other Tafisa products in the same series.
