Tafisa 2010 After-Hours melamine identifies this panel as a Tafisa melamine board with the 2010 After-Hours decorative color on both faces, which lets you run matching exposed interiors and exteriors from the same sheet. The 6.35 MDF 2-sided construction means the decorative melamine layers are thermo-fused to an MDF core, giving you a consistent substrate for machining, edge-banding, and clean detailing. The 1/4 inch thickness supports use where a thinner, flat panel is appropriate, such as backs or drawer bottoms in projects designed around this thickness. The 49 x 97 size offers a slightly oversized sheet compared to nominal 4 x 8 dimensions, which provides trim margin for squaring edges or matching exact cut lists. Being manufactured in one step, with both decorative layers pressed and thermo-fused to the core at the same time, supports uniform bonding across the sheet.
This Tafisa melamine MDF panel uses a 1/4 inch thickness, identified as 6.35 MDF, which sets clear expectations for fit in grooves, dadoes, or rabbets cut for that size. The 49 x 97 overall dimensions provide extra length and width beyond nominal 4 x 8 layouts, helping you nest parts with trim allowance around the perimeter. The MDF core beneath the melamine surfaces gives a homogeneous interior, which supports clean edges when cutting or profiling exposed sections. Because the decorative layers are thermo-fused directly to the core, you work with a single integrated sheet rather than a separately laminated assembly.
This Tafisa 2010 After-Hours melamine board is identified as double sided with the color 2010 After-Hours, so both faces carry the same decorative surface. That detail supports projects where both sides can be visible, such as panels used as partitions or casework components designed with finished interiors. The melamine is pressed and thermo-fused to an MDF core in one step, so each face shares the same manufacturing cycle and bonding conditions, which matters when you want the two sides to behave similarly in everyday conditions. With a 1/4 inch thickness, the panel suits designs that call for a thinner section while still leveraging the same color and surface on each side. The 49 x 97 format aligns with layouts that benefit from slightly oversize sheet dimensions when planning cut diagrams.
The web description states that the top and bottom impregnated decorative layers are pressed and thermo-fused to MDF in one step, meaning both faces are bonded to the core simultaneously. This integrated process yields a unified panel where each decorative layer is tied directly to the MDF core, which supports predictable behavior when cutting or drilling through the sheet. The MDF core provides a consistent material between the melamine faces, so tooling meets the same density across the panel, which can help achieve cleaner cuts. Having the same Tafisa 2010 After-Hours color on both sides means every offcut carries the same finish, giving flexibility when assigning parts from a single sheet. Together, the one step manufacturing detail and the double sided color simplify planning work where matching faces and a uniform core are central considerations.
The Tafisa 2010 After-Hours melamine uses a particle board or MDF core, which provides a man-made substrate supporting flat, uniform panel construction for woodworking applications built around those core types.
The panel has a 1/4 inch thickness, also described as 6.35 MDF, which defines its use in assemblies and joinery sized to accept that specific panel thickness.
The Tafisa melamine board measures 49 x 97, providing working area slightly larger than nominal 4 x 8 sizing for layouts that benefit from extra trimming margin.
The Tafisa melamine board is described as double sided with the color 2010 After-Hours, so both faces present the same decorative finish for two-sided applications.
The product description states the top and bottom impregnated decorative layers are pressed and thermo-fused in one step, creating a single integrated melamine panel.
The panel is identified by the Tafisa 2010 After-Hours melamine name and manufacturer part number BSLA200042, which distinguishes this color and construction from other Tafisa boards.
This Tafisa 2010 After-Hours melamine MDF panel combines a 1/4 inch thickness, 49 x 97 dimensions, and a double sided 2010 After-Hours color pressed in one step to an MDF core. Those details define it for projects built around this specific Tafisa decorative surface and panel size. When work calls for matching faces on a unified melamine MDF sheet, this identified Tafisa board provides that combination of format, core, and color.
