This is the left-hand flanged front locking device for Grass Maxcess and Elite Plus undermount drawer slides, color-coded green for fast identification during installation and service. It secures the drawer box front to the slide at the front of the cabinet and provides 1D height adjustment to true the drawer front after hanging.
Front locking devices are the connection point between the drawer box and the undermount slide, and getting the right one matters more than it looks. This device is built for the Grass Maxcess and Elite Plus undermount slide programs. Maxcess is a 7/8-extension undermount system, and Elite Plus is a full-extension undermount system — both use this same flanged locking device family. The green color code is Grass's way of distinguishing height-adjustable versions, so when drawers need a small upward correction after install, this is the device to reach for. It is not a substitute for other Grass undermount locking devices outside the Maxcess and Elite Plus programs, and it does not fit Dynapro slides, which use their own locking device series.
The device is molded from plastic in a green finish that serves a practical function beyond color preference: it signals the adjustment class at a glance, which speeds up drawer corrections on a multi-drawer install. The flanged profile locks the drawer box against the slide with the same tool-free release action as the rest of the Grass undermount locking device family. The plastic material keeps weight low and eliminates any concern about metal-to-metal contact with the slide's steel runner.
Cabinet shops running Grass Maxcess or Elite Plus undermount slides will keep a supply of these on hand as a standard consumable — one left-hand and one right-hand device per drawer, every time. Installers doing service work on existing Grass undermount installations use it when a damaged locking device needs a like-for-like swap on the left side of the slide. The 1D height adjustment is particularly useful on tall drawer fronts where a small vertical shift corrects a gap without requiring the whole drawer to be repositioned. This is an indoor cabinetry part; it is not rated for wet, washdown, or exterior applications.
Yes. This flanged locking device is shared across the Grass Maxcess and Elite Plus undermount programs. It does not fit Dynapro or other Grass series — those use separate, series-specific locking devices.
After the drawer is hung on the slides, you can shift the drawer front upward by up to 2.5 mm without removing the drawer. That range is enough to close a small gap between drawer fronts or align a front that hung slightly low during installation.
Grass uses color coding to distinguish locking device variants — adjustment type, flange style, and compatibility class. Green identifies this specific 1D height-adjustable flanged version. Using a different color device risks a mismatch in adjustment range or drawer-box fit, so match the color to what the original installation specifies.
One left-hand and one right-hand locking device per drawer. This listing is for the left-hand device only; order the corresponding right-hand version separately to complete the pair.
Yes. Grass undermount locking devices in this family release the drawer without tools, which makes drawer removal straightforward for cleaning or service.
A single mismatched or missing locking device stalls a drawer installation. Having the correct green left-hand flanged device on hand means Maxcess and Elite Plus drawers seat properly, adjust cleanly, and stay there through daily use.
