Sugatsune Swivel Caster 5-1/2 No Brake describes a caster from Sugatsune America that uses a threaded stem mount and fits the stem mounted casters category, so it suits equipment and furniture already set up for a threaded stem connection. The caster is identified as type swivel, which allows the wheel to rotate around a vertical axis, so carts and fixtures turn in tight spaces instead of dragging. The wheel diameter is specified as 5-17/32 inches, so it rolls more easily over small floor transitions than smaller casters in the same class. The wheel material is nylon/polyurethane, which combines a hard-running core with a softer tread for a balance of roll and grip on typical shop and facility floors. The load capacity is listed as 264 lb, so each caster can support that load rating when laid out in a properly designed base. The product is described as RoHS compliant, so it aligns with restrictions on certain hazardous substances where that matters.
The mounting type is stem within a threaded stem mount product class, so installation centers on matching the caster stem threads to a corresponding threaded insert, nut, or frame connection on the equipment. This approach allows installers to spin the caster into position rather than aligning top plates, which can speed change-outs on fixtures already drilled and tapped for a specific stem size. Because the caster is defined as swivel type, the mounted wheel can pivot freely once threaded into place, so operators can reposition heavy fixtures without lifting or shuffling. The 5-17/32 inch wheel diameter also affects install height, so builders can plan finished working heights or clearance under cabinets and carts around that dimension when selecting locations for the threaded stems.
The MX-125N16 swivel caster sits in the stem mounted casters category with a threaded stem mount product class, so it aligns with carts, racks, and frames that accept stem-mounted wheels rather than plate mounts. The 5-17/32 inch wheel diameter positions this caster for applications where slightly larger rolling diameter is useful, such as moving work carts across expansion joints or doorway transitions. Because the caster type is defined as swivel, it supports use on fixtures that need to be steered around obstacles or rotated in place, like shop trolleys or mobile cabinets. The nylon/polyurethane wheel material suits indoor surfaces common to woodworking and industrial shops, where a firm-running wheel with a polyurethane tread is often selected for consistent rolling behavior.
The web description notes a caster with clean appearance, so it can be used on visible fixtures where hardware aesthetics matter along with movement. The same description specifies a dual brake system that can be locked on swivel only or wheel and swivel in one step, so operators can either hold the steering direction or fully immobilize the wheel to stabilize a cart during work. A large lock lever is identified for the swivel and a small lock lever for the wheel, which separates functions so users can quickly choose how much motion to restrict. The caster is described as easy operation, so the brake design is arranged for straightforward engagement and release in routine use. The text states that it works as rigid type when swivel locked for easy movability, so locking the swivel converts steering behavior to a straight-line track, helping carts roll predictably along aisles. Together with the 264 lb load capacity, these functional details allow planners to balance maneuverability and holding control while sizing casters to expected weights.
The MX-125N16 caster uses a threaded stem mount, so it installs into threaded sockets or nuts on compatible equipment and fits layouts designed for stem mounted casters.
The caster has a dual brake system that can lock swivel only or both wheel and swivel in one step, so users can either hold direction or fully stabilize the caster.
The large lock lever controls the swivel and the small lock lever controls the wheel, so operators can independently manage steering lock and wheel rotation.
When the swivel is locked, the caster works as a rigid type, so carts track in a straight line for easier movement down aisles or along benches.
Each MX-125N16 swivel caster has a 264 lb load capacity, so total cart or fixture rating depends on how many casters support the structure.
The wheel uses nylon and polyurethane, so it combines a firm-running core with a polyurethane tread that supports controlled rolling on typical hard shop floors.
This Sugatsune America MX-125N16 threaded stem swivel caster combines a 5-17/32 inch nylon/polyurethane wheel, dual brake system, and 264 lb capacity, so it supports shop and facility carts that need controlled steering, straight-line travel, and dependable rolling behavior. The clean appearance suits visible fixtures, while the separate large swivel lever and small wheel lever simplify locking choices during daily use. For projects built around stem mounted casters, this configuration provides a defined load rating and practical movement control for cabinets, racks, and work trolleys using threaded stem mounting points.
