This 16-inch (400mm) rectangular side railing is a Nova Pro Scala system component that mounts above the drawer side profile to raise the effective wall height and retain taller contents. Finished in Stone, it integrates with the Nova Pro Scala color program for a fitted, factory-matched look inside the drawer box.
A side railing is the right call when the drawer's side profile alone is too low to hold the contents securely. Pots and lids, rolled linens, bottles, or stacked workshop supplies all benefit from a taller effective wall. At 16 inches nominal length, this railing suits a 400mm Nova Pro Scala installation — a common depth for base-cabinet kitchen drawers, bath vanity drawers, and utility casework where the drawer opening is mid-range rather than deep. The rectangular profile presents a clean, uninterrupted line above the side, keeping the interior looking intentional rather than improvised.
Stone is one of the four coordinated finishes in the Nova Pro Scala color program, alongside Ice, Silver, and Silver Grey. Choosing Stone means the railing, the drawer side profiles, and any Tavinea Optima divider rails and holders ordered in the same finish read as one integrated interior rather than a mix of hardware tones. If the rest of your Nova Pro Scala installation is specified in Stone, this railing closes the loop on the visible interior surfaces. Nova Pro Scala components are engineered to their own platform and do not interchange with other Grass drawer systems or other brands.
Cabinet shops building kitchens with a handle-less or minimal-hardware aesthetic reach for a gallery railing when the drawer content calls for it — the taller wall keeps a deep pot drawer from looking cluttered and prevents items from tipping during opening and closing. Designers specifying Nova Pro Scala by finish often add side railings to tall-content drawers as part of the initial hardware schedule, since ordering them after the fact risks a finish discontinuity if the colorway changes between production runs. Renovators replacing or extending an existing Nova Pro Scala installation can match an in-use Stone interior by ordering this railing in the same finish family.
It is sold as a set sized for both sides of one drawer. One set completes a single drawer run.
No. The railing nominal length must match the drawer system's nominal length. A 400mm railing pairs with a 400mm Nova Pro Scala installation; order the length that corresponds to your drawer depth.
No. Nova Pro Scala components are engineered to that platform. For Vionaro or other Grass systems, use the railing and accessories developed for those programs.
Yes. Stone is one of the coordinated finishes offered across the Nova Pro Scala accessories program, including Tavinea Optima divider rails and holders, so the interior components can be matched to a single color.
Specify the Stone finish throughout the Nova Pro Scala installation — sides, railing, and divider components — and the interior arrives looking built rather than assembled from parts.
