This is the Blum LEGRABOX 18-inch N-height complete drawer system in Orion Gray Matte, a full-extension, soft-close metal drawer platform built for production cabinetry and serious kitchen upgrades. It pairs the engineered steel side profiles of the LEGRABOX line with integrated BLUMOTION damping and a refined matte finish that suits handle-less and contemporary cabinet interiors.
The N-height profile is the right choice when the design calls for a low, narrow side wall — spice drawers set just above the counter, thin top drawers in an island, or upper-cabinet pull-outs where a taller side would crowd the interior. At 66.5mm (2-5/8 inches) it keeps a slim silhouette while still delivering the full-extension travel and BLUMOTION damping the LEGRABOX line is known for. At 18 inches nominal length, the system suits standard 21-inch cabinet depths where a slightly shorter drawer box is the right fit. The 125 lb capacity means even a narrow, shallow drawer can carry dense spice jars, stacked flatware, or hardware without stressing the runners.
Orion Gray Matte is a dark, warm-neutral gray — distinct from both the cooler tones of stainless steel and the bright contrast of Silk White. Inside a cabinet, the gray profile becomes a design surface in its own right: it suits walnut, dark-laminate, and charcoal painted interiors without the industrial read of bare steel. Because LEGRABOX side profiles are double-walled steel, the finish wraps both the visible inner face and the outer wall, so there are no raw edges or mismatched surfaces when the drawer is open. The AMBIA-LINE interior organization components — frames, cutlery inserts, cross dividers, and spice trays — are offered in the same Orion Gray Matte finish, letting the full interior match when components are added.
LEGRABOX is an engineered platform: the side profiles, runners, and BLUMOTION mechanism arrive ready to install, but the drawer front, bottom panel, and back are shop-supplied and must be cut to Blum's published specification for this nominal length and height. Front fixing brackets (sold separately) attach the drawer front and carry the system's front adjustment. For face-frame cabinets, confirm rear mounting bracket requirements before ordering, as LEGRABOX is optimized for frameless 32mm-grid construction. All accessory components — front fixings, cover caps, gallery rails, and AMBIA-LINE inserts — must be sourced from the LEGRABOX program; components from other Blum platforms or other brands are not interchangeable with this system.
Yes. AMBIA-LINE — Blum's interior organization line for LEGRABOX drawers — is available in Orion Gray Matte, so cutlery inserts, cross dividers, spice trays, and other inserts can match the side profile finish. Specify AMBIA-LINE components in the same color when building out the interior.
N height is the lowest profile in the LEGRABOX line at 66.5mm (2-5/8 inches) — right for shallow drawers where a taller side would waste space or interfere with adjacent drawers. Taller heights (M, K, C, F) suit deeper storage, pot drawers, and pantry pull-outs. Choose the height that matches what the drawer will hold and how much interior room the cabinet provides.
No. LEGRABOX is a platform system: the steel side profiles and BLUMOTION runners are included, but the drawer front, bottom panel, and wood or steel back are supplied by the shop and cut to Blum's specification. Front fixing brackets are a separate purchase.
LEGRABOX is engineered for frameless, 32mm-grid construction. Face-frame installations typically require rear mounting brackets; check Blum's current installation documentation for the bracket requirements before specifying this system in a face-frame project.
The BLUMOTION mechanism built into the LEGRABOX runner adapts its damping to the weight of the loaded drawer rather than requiring manual adjustment per load. Once installed, it responds to however the drawer is loaded on a given day.
The LEGRABOX N-height system in Orion Gray Matte brings full-extension access, quiet BLUMOTION closing, and a finish that holds its own as a visible design element — useful in any kitchen or bath where the inside of the cabinet matters as much as the outside.
