Blum LEGRABOX C Height Drawer System in Orion Gray Matte — Built for Kitchens That Work Hard

This is the Blum LEGRABOX complete drawer system in the C height profile, finished in Orion Gray Matte, with a 26 inch nominal length, full-extension travel, integrated BLUMOTION soft-close, and a 170 lb load rating. It is engineered for deep storage drawers in residential and commercial kitchens where the interior finish needs to coordinate with cabinetry hardware in a neutral, matte dark tone.

Key Features

• Orion Gray Matte finish coordinates naturally with dark laminate, painted, and wood-toned interiors without competing for attention.
• C height profile at 177mm (7 inches) gives enough side wall for pots, pans, and deep pantry storage while keeping the drawer proportional to the cabinet.
• Full-extension travel brings the entire drawer contents to the front of the cabinet opening, with no hidden zone at the back.
• Integrated BLUMOTION soft-close settles the loaded drawer silently on every close, built into the runner rather than added as an accessory.
• 170 lb static load rating handles cast iron cookware, appliances, and heavy pantry stock without hesitation.
• Steel double-walled construction replaces wood drawer sides entirely, delivering a clean interior face and hidden fasteners in one slim profile.

Where This Drawer System Fits

The C height profile is the workhorse configuration in the LEGRABOX line. At 177mm tall, the sides are deep enough to contain a Dutch oven, a stack of sheet pans, or a full pantry pull-out without the contents toppling when the drawer opens. The 26 inch nominal length suits cabinet runs with a depth in the 24 to 26 inch range, which covers the majority of base cabinet work. Full extension means every inch of that drawer is accessible, so the cast iron stored at the back is just as easy to reach as the cutting board in front. At 170 lb, the rating is the heavy-duty tier for the LEGRABOX platform, appropriate for the drawers in a kitchen that actually get used — cookware storage, heavy appliance garages, and fully loaded pantry columns.

Construction and the Orion Gray Matte Finish

LEGRABOX sides are formed steel profiles, double-walled, that take over the structural role of a wood drawer side. The builder supplies the front, bottom panel, and back to the system's published cutting dimensions; the steel sides, runners, and front fixings come as the system. The Orion Gray Matte color sits in the same family as charcoal and graphite tones found in contemporary European-style cabinet interiors. It is a deliberate contrast to the Silk White Matte option in the same line and reads as a dark neutral rather than a metallic, so it pairs well with black hardware, dark stone countertops, and wood fronts with an open grain. BLUMOTION is built into the runner — there is no separate damper clip to source or lose — and the resistance adapts to the drawer's loaded weight so a heavy pot drawer closes with the same control as a lighter cutlery drawer.

Who Specifies This System

Cabinet shops running production kitchens with an interior-finish spec often choose LEGRABOX in Orion Gray Matte when the client has selected dark or natural wood fronts and wants the drawer box to recede rather than contrast. Kitchen designers working on handleless or push-to-open layouts specify the C height for base storage because it maximizes usable volume in the drawer without requiring a special-order tall box. Contractors replacing worn wood boxes in an existing kitchen can drop LEGRABOX sides into the original cabinet opening and update the look in the same operation. Homeowners renovating a kitchen and building a single custom cooking station will find the 170 lb capacity gives long-term confidence for a drawer that may carry a full set of cast iron.

A Drawer System That Matches the Work

Orion Gray Matte puts a purposeful, cohesive finish on the interior of a hard-working base cabinet — and the 170 lb capacity, full extension, and integrated BLUMOTION mean the box performs at the same level it looks.
