Confirmat screws are the standard fastener for butt joints in kitchen and bath cabinetry, flat-pack furniture, and RTA (ready-to-assemble) manufacturing. The M7 x 50mm size covers typical cabinet carcass construction: the 50mm length reaches through a panel face and into the adjoining edge with enough thread engagement for a strong, repeatable joint. The coarse thread locks into the fiber structure of particleboard and MDF, where finer threads would find less material to grip.
