A standard concealed hinge is engineered for doors in the 16 to 22mm range. Push beyond that, and the cup geometry stops working: the arm cannot pull the door flush, or a shallower cup risks boring through the visible face. This Sensys hinge is purpose-built for doors up to 32mm, with cup geometry and arm clearance matched to that mass. The 95 degree opening angle is not a restriction, it is the correct swing for a thick door: enough travel to give full access while keeping the door from colliding with the cabinet face on its return arc. The 35mm cup bores into the back of the door, and the hinge mounts to a separate base plate on the cabinet, ordered separately, matched to your cabinet construction and the overlay position you need.
The hinge body is steel in a nickel finish, carrying the build quality of the Sensys line. Self-close. A spring pulls the door shut over the last few degrees but does not cushion the close. For a damped, quiet close on a thick door, look for the Sensys version with integrated Silent System soft-close.
Yes. This hinge mounts to a base plate on the cabinet, and the plate is sold separately. Use a Hettich plate matched to your cabinet type. Plates from other brands will not connect to this hinge.
